Dear reader,

I've been working like mad along with my gluten free recipe testers as they test recipes for my new cookbook. However, I haven't forgotten about sharing many new recipes on my blog. See below for the latest recipes. People are going crazy over the two new Girl Scout cookie recipes. My hubby is addicted to the Tagalongs. I hope you enjoy them.

Happy and healthy gluten free cooking!

Girl Scout Cookies Gluten Free Tagalongs

You can easily make these gluten free girl scout cookies by using my all-purpose flour blend recipe. Mix some up and keep it on hand for all your baking needs. The flour recipe calls for superfine rice flour versus regular grain. It makes this cookie perfectly, resulting in a crunchy vanilla cookie, topped with sweet peanut butter filling, all covered with your favorite gluten free chocolate. It's a chocolate coated cookie you'll never forget. I enjoy it more than See's candy; and they're better than their gluten counterpart. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Butter Cookies with Chocolate Drizzled on Top

Inspired by the Girl Scout Samoas, this cookie is much larger, crisper, and instead of shredded coconut, it calls for nuts. (I used walnuts. If have a nut allergy, use desiccated coconut.) With its caramel topping and chocolate coated bottoms, they are definitely indulgent.

Homemade Gluten Free Coq au Vin

Perfect for weekend cooking or to make for guests, this gluten free coq au vin is a must try and perfect choice. As you probably are already aware, French food is usually loaded with butter and often wine. In this case, bacon, bacon grease, and wine is used. It makes for a to-die-for sauce, one should eat only on occasions. …

Fluffy Basmati Rice

I was about to make some basmati rice (Indian white rice), but was wondering if soaking rice was healthier. I already soak beans and nuts to remove enzyme blockers. In my research, I discovered soaking basmati rice, as well as others, not only removes some nutrient blockers, it makes it easier to digest. In addition, the soaking speeds up the …

Spicy Indian Green Beans

I have served my Chicken Korma Recipe a number of times, but usually accompanied it with plain vegetables. Recently, I decided to spice those up a little. You control the spice level. Using 1/8 teaspoon provides an ever so light amount heat. While 1/4 teaspoon is perfect for us. You may prefer 1/2 teaspoon. Enjoy this flavorful Indian green beans recipe with your favorite Indian food.

Gluten Free American Cupcakes

Here is another fun gluten free Memorial Day or 4th of July dessert recipe. This recipe creates moist, fluffy, and rich cake in red, white and blue. It's so good, it doesn't need frosting! However, you can omit the food coloring and make solid, white cupcakes. This is the richest gluten feee cake I have ever made! It's because of its high fat and sugar ratio. I hope you enjoy this recipe as well as your holiday.

Grilled Homemade Polenta

There's not too much to purchasing a tube of premade polenta, slicing it, and grilling it. However, making homemade polenta is almost as easy, but tastes so much better. You must try it. You can use gluten free polenta or yellow grits. See below for choice of brands. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Pastry Cream Using Cornstarch

I already created one gluten free pastry cream recipe; however, due to the rice flour, it needs to sit overnight to remove the chalky flavor and texture. This recipe may be used immediately. Using an ice bath, you don't even have to chill it that long. If you haven't tried pastry cream yet, this will be a decadent treat. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Cream of Rice Cereal

Adding a little fruit or fruit puree, nuts, dried fruit, and cinnamon creates this delicious cream of rice cereal recipe. Of course, it's all gluten free. The cereal alone is an  excellent source of iron. You can also use cooked rice as a substitute. I know a few people who have tried replacing their cream of wheat with cream of rice and did not care for it, but this recipe is mind changer.

Gluten Free Lemon Crepes

I love making crepes because you can do so many things with them. Filled them with sweets and serve them for breakfast, brunch or dessert. Fill them with savory meat and sauces for lunch, dinner, or an appetizer. This particular gluten free crepes recipe uses the zest (grated peel) of fresh lemon to create spectacular flavor. Enjoy!

Slow Cooker Gluten Free Brownies

To avoid summer heat in the kitchen, baking brownies in a slow cooker is ideal. The slow cooking and most environment creates  moist and tender brownies. This version of slow cooker gluten free brownies are decadently rich. A better name for them may be truffle brownies. They are absolutely yummy and their height is about 1 3/4-inch.

Gluten Free Arrabiata - Spicy Pat

Arrabbiata is a spicy Italian sauce usually served with penne pasta. Its strong garlic and tomato base with the potent heat may make you look angry. That is exactly what arrabbiata means, "angry". Gluten free arrabiata can easily be made. Just be sure to use gluten free canned tomatoes (most are). Enjoy! Ad

Gluten Free Cannoli Pancakes

Cannoli is an Italian dessert, tubes of crisp pastry, filled with sweetened ricotta cheese. Ricotta makes the most incredible pancakes. Also sweetened with sugar, these gluten free ricotta pancakes may be made extra-fluffy or traditional. Top them with a fruit puree or pure maple syrup. (Some traditional syrups contain gluten.) Serve your gluten free cannoli pancakes for breakfast or brunch. Your guests will not only be impressed, but they'll be trying to guess the ingredients. The best part is that'll never know they're gluten free. They truly add a new definition to gluten free pancakes.

TY Ku Sake Without Nitrates

The reason why sake is usually served warm is that it takes the "bite" out of inexpensive, nearly unpalatable sake. However, just like other wine, sake is made in different qualities. Check out my review of two of the varieties of TY KU Sake. Then their gluten free sake yourself.
