RECIPES:

Buttery Gluten Free Panettone

I recently made a large-size Gluten Free Panettone (pronounced pan uh tony) in an angel food cake pan. Panettone is a rich, buttery Italian yeast-cake prepared during the Christmas season. I usually make panettone more like bread than cake as I did in the recipe in the above link. My version had a crunchy crust, much like homemade bread. However, I figured that many of you would prefer to have a traditional recipe with a soft, buttery texture.

Gluten Free Sacher Torte & Whipped Cream

I used to see the word "Sacher" written so elegantly on tops of small chocolate cakes and wondered what it was made of. I grew up and got married and took my husband's name, Spacher. I always wanted to buy a sacher just so it looked like our last name. I finally did and fell in love with them! Ad …

Gluten Free Panettone Slice

Panettone is a sweet, light-weight, Italian bread containing dried or glazed fruit. Unlike fruitcake, it is not heavy. It contains butter, making it richer than traditional bread. I didn't add tons of butter to this recipe though you may if you desire. I like mine to taste a little like bread versus dessert. I had created a gluten free panettone recipe for …

Gluten Free Puff Pastry Dough Danish

A few of you have expressed that you have had problems in making my Gluten Free Puff Pastry Recipe. Today, I videotaped the procedure. I only made half of a recipe because so many of you have smaller families. It's always best to work with fresh puff pastry. Therefore, I don't recommend freezing it if you don't have to. The worse thing you can do is refrigerate it for long periods. I don't even like defrosting it overnight in the refrigerator. Refrigeration dries out dough. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the half recipe as well as the video.

Gluten Free Chocolate Turtles

I love chocolate turtles! I haven't had one since about 1999. Making these homemade turtles were fun, as this was the first time I made them. There are plenty of different ways to make them. You can use chopped pecans, pecan halves, as well as whole pecans. I used roasted coffee beans for the heads, but you can use pecans. Meanwhile, enjoy these luscious candies or give them as gifts.

Gluten Free Leftover Turkey Sandwich

One of my husband's favorite thanksgiving leftover sandwiches contains cranberry sauce, but adding stuffing is an extra special treat! I enjoy leftover turkey with cranberry sauce and cream cheese. It's to die for! I hope you get a chance to try one of these ideas. We use my Gluten Free Oat Bread recipe. You can make it in the oven or a bread machine. If you're oat intolerant, use sorghum and additional oil.

Sweet Potato Casserole - Gluten Free

I purchased a bag of organic yams over a week ago. Still not having used them, what better time to cook them than Thanksgiving.

I asked the produce man what is the difference between yams and sweet potatoes. He said that yams contained more moisture and sweet potatoes were stringy. That was a different answer than my previous research. However, he was incorrect. My yams were stringy. However, I used them as I would sweet potatoes and they turned out delicious!

My sister makes a similar recipe every year, and everyone loves it! She likes to add a little orange juice, but stopped once I discovered my citrus allergies. She's always been thoughtful. I never asked her for her recipe, but was able to whip them up just the same.

I hope you enjoy this recipe, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Gluten Free Herb Stuffing

This is my new favorite gluten free stuffing recipe. OMG! Using Schar baguettes make it as close to my old gluten recipe for stuffing that use sourdough bread. I love it! Using fresh herbs and creamy butter brings it over the top. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Bacon and Green Bean Casserole

While green beans are gluten free, not all brands of bacon are. I/ve been making this bacon and onion green bean casserole during the holidays for decades. It's my favorite dish that I just can't live without. My family loves it because I don't skimp on the bacon. There's nothing worse than being one of the last ones to dig in and have to dig for bacon. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family has.

Gluten Free Pound Cake

I had created a gluten free sour cream pound cake recipe for a client of mine in the past and they removed it from their site. Well, one of my Facebook followers was frantically searching for it as it is her family's favorite recipe. I have created a similar recipe for her. I hope you enjoy it just as much.
