Gluten Free Almond Tart Crust

Gluten Free Tart Crust Using Almond Flour

If you are watching your carb intake, using almond flour is a great way to cut back in addition to adding flavor. This gluten free tart crust is the perfect compliment to sweet or savory fillings. Avoid starch-filled crusts. Try using almond flour instead. This recipe is also egg- and gum-free. It's delicious. I use it to make my Gluten Free Apple Almond Custard Tart and my creamy potato, onion and bacon tart.

Gluten Free Breakfast Burrito with Homemade Tortilla

Gluten Free Breakfast Burrito with Homemade Tortilla

Most people are amazed that you can make a better gluten free tortilla better than you can buy anywhere. The ingredients are nothing you would most likely expect. I use my gluten free naan recipe and omit the baking soda. This way they are not puffy like flatbread, yet remain soft so that you can easily roll them. You can make …

Gluten Free Soba Noodles Stir-Fry

Sweet & Spicy Gluten Free Soba Noodles & Chicken

Soba means "buckwheat" in Japanese. Many Japanese dishes contain soba/buckwheat noodles. King Soba offers safe, gluten free soba noodles in a variety of flavors. My favorite is their Buckwheat & Sweet Potatoes Noodles. Buckwheat noodles are so much healthier than rice pasta. I use them in stir-fry as well as other pasta recipes. The texture is amazing and holds up well. Just be sure to cook them al dente before frying them in this recipe. I usually use the Sweet Potato Soba Noodles. I just love the sweet flavor, even in savory dishes. They would be ideal for this dish as it is slightly sweet and slightly spicy. Sweetness with spiciness is a marriage made in heaven, in my book.

Slice of Gluten Free Dutch Apple Pie

Gluten Free Dutch Apple Pie

Out of all the gluten free pies I have made, I would have to say this gluten free Dutch apple pie is my favorite. It has a unique crust plus a crumble topping which all create texture, sweetness and flavor! It's the best of both worlds. Apple filling is my favorite of all. I love cinnamon and what goes better with it than apples? Okay, cinnamon bread comes to mind, but that's only good with tons of butter. Meanwhile, enjoy this recipe!

Gluten Free Turkey Gravy

Flavorful Gluten Free Turkey Gravy

I usually cook turkey giblets, strip the neck for meat and mince up the rest. I add it my stuffing to increase the flavor. The thought may be unpleasant to some, but the flavor certainly is not. It's incredible. However, if you wish to make flavorful gravy, the giblets may be added to it, as well. Either way, this gluten free gravy recipe is wonderful.

Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts

Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts

I must have lived a shelter life as I never had heard of apple cider donuts until recently. They showed a recipe for Apple Cider Donut Trifle on The Chew TV show. With the flavors of Christmas, I thought I'd give it a try to developing a recipe for gluten free apple cider donuts. They turned out delicious! They remind me of hot apple cider in the form of a donut. If you haven't ever tried one, now is your chance. Then check out the recipe on The Chew's website to make the trifle, if interested.

Gluten Free Oatnut 3 Seed Bread for Bread Machine

Gluten Free Oatnut 3 Seed Bread Machine Recipe

Oat bread has always been my adult bread of choice. When I went gluten free, it was the bread I missed the most, next to sourdough. I've created a number of gluten free oat bread recipes, but this one mimics Oroweat's Oatnut 3 Seed Bread. They both contain the same seeds, but this one is minus the wheat flour and works with a bread machine that has a gluten free setting. I used the Breadman BK1050S. If your machine doesn't have a gluten free setting, look for my other oat bread machine recipe at the link above. Enjoy.

Gluten Free Upside Down Pineapple Cherry Dump Cake

Gluten Free Pineapple Cherry Upside Down Dump Cake

A surprisingly addictive gluten free dump cake recipe made with canned cherry pie filling and canned pineapple. A dump cake is an easy recipe where you literally dump the ingredients into a baking dish and bake it. Using a cake mix is the usual method. While you can use Betty Crocker's Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix in this recipe, it is so much better when you use my self-rising gluten free cake flour blend recipe and sugar. I am not a fan of cherry, but combined with pineapple, the flavor is pretty incredible. I couldn't stop eating it. I felt so guilty afterwards. Oh well, I'll have to watch what I eat for the next few days. Enjoy!

Cooking breakfast is simple when you look at each individual dish. However, timing it so that the eggs, toast, potatoes and bacon are all cooked at the same time and warm, can be difficult. Gluten Free Apple Creme Brulee Bread Pudding

Gluten Free Apple Bread Pudding

I developed a bread pudding recipe for KitchenAid's 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Easy Serve Lid back in 2012. I have played around with the recipe a couple of times since then. I have doubled the custard which I enjoyed much better. My husband is a bread lover and likes it dense with a single custard amount. So, it's really up to you. Recently, I used the standard amount of custard, but I threw in some Comstock apple pie filling. (You can use homemade, if desired.) This gluten free apple bread pudding turned out delicious and it's made in a slow cooker!

Gluten Free Matzo Ball Soup with Chicken

Gluten Free Matzo Ball Soup

About three years ago, my father's lady friend and her daughter bought the ingredients to make my father matzo ball soup. They were going to use a packaged matzao ball mix. They had to leave early because my father became ill. So, they never got a chance to make it. I decided to give it a go. Instead of making …

Sweet & Savory Gluten Free Meatloaf

Sweet & Savory Gluten Free Meatloaf

Savory enough for adults with enough sweetness to please the kids, this gluten free meatloaf will please all. My husband grew up on a Kid-Friendly Meatloaf Recipe which contains ketchup. I'm trying to get him away from all of the salt that ketchup contains. mainThis is it! It's sweet without too much salt. I love it! As a kid, I hated my mother's meatloaf, but fell in love with mother-in-law's ketchup-oatmeal version. I've been allergic to tomatoes for years and had to give it up. Now this is one you can sink my teeth into. The flavor remains even between two thick slices of bread. In addition, it's so moist.
