Holiday Gluten Free Mashed Potatoes
These gluten free mashed potatoes are to die for! A family member made these a few months ago and I was afraid to eat them, as I had no idea if the bacon was gluten free, but I found out that they included sour cream and cream cheese, as well. All of the guests were raving about them, and I just had to make them, gluten free. She had added some cheddar cheese to the top. I’ve added made these with cheese on top, inside, and without cheese. You just need to make sure all of your ingredients are gluten free, including the bacon, cream cheese and sour cream. You may mix in bacon or your favorite cheese. I like cheddar. I added crumbled bacon to to pof my gluten free mashed potatoes. I bet the left overs make wonderful potato pancakes! Just fry them cold with some butter. Yum! Can’t wait to try it!

Gluten Free Glazed Meatballs – All Beef
These gluten free glazed meatballs were a hit on Saturday at our holiday party. We had 37 guests, and I really wanted to make something everyone would enjoy and was kid-friendly. My husband will only meatballs cooked in spaghetti sauce or meatloaf that contains ketchup. However, he loved these meatballs before I added the glaze. For the kids, I skipped the onion or garlic that I planned on using in this glazed meatball recipe, but used onion powder instead. Enjoy this gluten free glazed meatball recipe and your holidays! Gluten Free Onion Soup Mix Recipe + Dip
Looking for a gluten free onion soup mix recipe? To my surprise all our gluten eating guests loved it! Several guests asked me what ingredients were in my dip. We sure did! Continue reading “Gluten Free Onion Soup Mix Recipe + Dip”
Gluten Free Crab Cakes
My 97 year old father, who is an expert on fish and seafood loved these gluten free crab cakes, and he’s not even on a gluten free diet! He’s been eating fish and seafood practically ever since he could eat solid food. His father used to fish in Alaska, professionally, and my father has lived in the Fishermen’s Wharf area of San Francisco all of his life. Continue reading “Gluten Free Crab Cakes”
Chestnut Cinnamon Gluten Free Pancakes (Dairy Free and Egg Free)
I needed to create a recipe to use up some aging flours. I thought, “Why not a gluten free pancake recipe?” There must be thousands of variation of pancakes, but I chose one I thought was unique, in that it did not contain any eggs or gum. That did not work out very well, therefore I adapted it. The recipe originated from one of Nutsonline’s Gluten Free Pancakes recipes. They were delish and I feel that they are a bit more healthy than a typical recipe. These were delish, and are dairy-free and egg-free! Enjoy! Soft Gluten Free Dinner Rolls Recipe
I had put off developing a soft gluten free dinner rolls recipe, for too long. So, I made it a priority, and I am so glad that I did! I am not a big bread eater, but I just cannot stop myself with these rolls! They are not grainy at all. They are something my husband loves during the holiday, and I was certainly not going to make him rolls with gluten! When he got home he gobbled up many. Since they’re so easy to make, I’ll have to make another batch of these super soft gluten free dinner rolls! Enjoy! Continue reading “Soft Gluten Free Dinner Rolls Recipe”
Gluten Free Ravioli with Beef Filling
A culinary student made and served these ravioli to her class. They enjoyed them better than their gluten versions. Fill them with beef or your favorite ravioli filling, cheese or creamy butternut squash (from this gluten free ravioli recipe). I like to use this recipe for fried ravioli. You can learn how one of my recipe testers served this, as well.
Gluten Free Cornbread Stuffing Recipe with Sausage Option
The only gluten free stuffing (some say dressing) that I care for is the kind that has been baked in a bird, whether a turkey or a chicken. However, this gluten free cornbread stuffing recipe is very good, after two attempts, and I didn’t even have it stuffed in a bird when testing it. Of course, a bird’s juices surely provides more flavor. This gluten free cornbread stuffing recipe has plenty of flavor on its own, and is perfect for those who do not care for sage, though it may be added. I’ve also added dairy-free and vegan/vegetarian options. Enjoy and have a wonderful, fun filled Thanksgiving. Among many other things, I give thanks for gluten free stuffing — and elastic waste pants! Continue reading “Gluten Free Cornbread Stuffing Recipe with Sausage Option”
