Jovial Gluten Free Pasta and Cookies Review and Giveaway

Jovaial Foods sent me some more of their gluten free pasta and cookies. It is one of my favorite brown rice pastas and my husband loves their cookies, as well. Food & Wine chose Jovial pasta as the best brown rice pasta. You really should learn more about them if you are not already familiar with their products. Certified Gluten Free and Dedicated Gluten Free Facility

Jovial products are certified gluten free by the Gluten Intolerance Group to be under 10 parts per million (ppm) gluten. Their products are now made in a dedicated gluten free facility, as well as free from casein, eggs, tree nuts, and peanuts. However, soy is processed in their facilitY.

Jovial Fig Fruit Filled Cookies

If you are looking for a cookie to replace Fig Newtons, Jovial’s Fig Fruit Filled Cookies are a wonderful substitute. They are a bit lighter and softer than Fig Newton’s but definitely fulfill the craving. If you’re not a fig fan, you may enjoy their other flavors of fruit filled gluten free cookies: Chocolate Vanilla Cream and Chocolate Chocolate Cream.

Ingredients: Organic Figs, Organic Rice Flour, Sugar, Organic Potato Starch, Organic Palm Fruit Oil, Organic Rice Starch, Organic Rice Syrup, Organic Eggs, Organic Chickpea Flour,  Organic Arabic Gum, Leavening (Monocalcium Phosphate, Baking Soda), Salt, Pectin, Citric Acid, Guar Gum.

Jovial Gluten Free Lasagna Noodles

Their lasagna noodles are made from simple ingredients, as are their most of their pasta. They contain only organic brown rice flour and water. It’s amazing how they make such a great texture pasta from brown rice alone. They must use flour not available to consumers, but only to manufacturers. There are different qualities and varieties of rice flour. They each have specific uses. Some are finer, starchier, etc.

Ingredients:  Organic Brown Rice Flour, Water. May contain traces of soy and eggs.

Jovial Gluten Free Egg Tagliatelle

Jovial offers a brown rice tagliatelle made with egg. While I enjoy all of Jovial’s brown rice pastas, the egg tagliatelle is out of this world delicious! It has so much more flavor than their plain brown rice pasta. It does not taste like egg noodles, though. It taste like really great pasta – close to the real thing. With the added protein from the egg, I like knowing I am not just eating starch or rice.

Ingredients: Organic Brown Rice Flour, Organic Eggs. Contains Eggs. May contain traces of soy.
