Thai Kitchen Gluten Free Thai Peanut Noodles Review

Thai Kitchen makes some wonderful gluten free products. Recently I saw their Thai Peanut Noodle Kit and decided to try it. I make about 95% of my food from scratch, but thought I’d keep you all in the loop about good commercial gluten free food, as well. This review on gluten free Thai peanut noodles is well worth the read!

Ingredients: Noodle: Rice, water. Seasoning Packet: Peanut, sugar, hydrolyzed soy protein, autolyzed yeast extract, green onion, corn, maltodextrin, spice (including paprika), citric acid, sea salt, extractives of paprika, silicon dioxide (as anti-caking agent). Contains: Peanut, Soy.

Addins

I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. You can add meat if you desire. I suggest diced, cooked chicken breasts. However, you can add vegetables as this product is also vegan. The instructions suggest adding 4 ounces of chicken.

Flavors

It was slightly spicy, had a medium to light peanut flavor and the noodles were the perfect texture!

Texture

Prior to cooking, the noodles are a bit clear, definitely white. When I first saw the noodles I was afraid they were going to to taste like shriataki noodles, aka miracle noodles. However, they far from it. I would definitely recommend this product if you enjoy Asian food. As a side dish you can definitely serve two.

Portions

I used 5 ounces of chicken and it was appropriate for one person. I suggest adding 10 ounces of chicken, plus some steamed vegetables in order to serve two people. The Thai Peanut flavor is only available in a 5.5 ounce size box. Thai Pad flavor is also available in 9 ounce.
