Rich Chocolate Ice Cream for Machine (Regular or Dairy Free)

Last Updated on

This chocolate ice cream recipe is just to die for! I double the recipe and make it in my 2 qt. Cuisinart Ice Cream Machine. It is the richest ice cream I have ever tasted! The original recipe I tried earlier had less non-fat milk and more half and half. That was way too rich! Check out my version and it is still super rich and triple chocolate though I have lessened that, as well. Continue reading “Rich Chocolate Ice Cream for Machine (Regular or Dairy Free)”

Whenever we have company my guests really seem to enjoy my Chocolate Almond Brittle, aka English Toffee. I have a lucite See’s Candy container where I store them and everyone believes them to be See’s Candies, and says they are delicious. I then explain it is not See’s but a homemade recipe. It tastes similar to Almond Roca, but I like it much better. Below I explain how to make it successfully. Continue reading “Chocolate Almond Brittle – English Toffee (Gluten Free)”

If you like an occasional pork chop, but find them too dry, try my mother’s recipe. It’s naturally gluten-free. She used to call it, “Pork chop rice and gravy”. I like to call it that, too, but most people call it pork chop with red sauce. It is a very easy pork chop recipe with few ingredients. These are really tender pork chops. They are so tender you can break it up with a fork, especially the pork chops with a bone. Continue reading “Gluten Free Tender Pork Chops with Red Sauce and Rice”

Nothing like a good lentils and Italian sausage recipe. Someone sent me a bunch of gluten-free sausages during the holidays which I had frozen. I had contemplated what I should cook with them. I ended up making an Italian dish that is customarily served on New Year’s Day, lentils and sausage, which symbolizes prosperity for the upcoming year. With added seasonings and vegetables, it turned out very tasty! I have to say, this is one of my new favorite Italian recipes. You could even add more broth and make it a soup! Gluten Free Chicken and Snow Peas

I purchased some snow peas at the market today because I was craving stir fry. Snow peas are very nutritious. Check out their nutritional facts. I searched and searched online for a chicken and snow peas recipes, but every recipe I came across called for ingredients that I did not have on hand. I had no rice vinegar, no fresh ginger, no apricot preserves, no cashews, no water chestnuts, no bamboo shoots, no peanut oil, no sesame oil, no almond flavored liqueur and no mushrooms. I got creative instead! My husband and I really enjoyed this dish. I use chicken breasts instead of whole chicken parts for lower fat content. This recipe has a slight hint of peanut, sweetness and tang, just in the right proportions. Some stir fry recipes just do not have enough sauce, in my opinion. To me, there is nothing worse than have a bunch of dry rice left to eat. I believe this one has the perfect amount of sauce. Try it and let me know what you think! After watching this video recipe on Raspberry Ganache Fudge Cake I have been wanting to try it. Unfortunately, I had no avocado for the frosting, nor raspberries for the filling. Darn! I tried a different spin on things and made a smaller portion of what I really would like to call “guilt-free” raw fudge. This raw fudge makes a great dessert, as well as a snack, and is also low-sodium, low-fat, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free dessert. And healthy, too! Continue reading “Gluten Free Raw Fudge”

I adjusted my sinfully rich chocolate ice cream recipe to this much healthier version, even higher in protein, plus tons of fiber, all without the refined sugar and cow’s milk though it does contain eggs. It is still very delicious for such a healthy ice cream recipe. You can make chocolate, raw almond milk ice cream, chocolate raw pecan milk ice cream, chocolate raw hazelnut ice cream, or whichever nut you choose.
