Gluten Free Baking Spray with Flour Substitute

A wonderful and better substitute for non-stick gluten free spray for baking.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Carla's Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour Blend or brown rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons shortening Spectrum Organic
  • 2 tablespoons neutral-flavored oil

Instructions

  1. Combine the above ingredients until creamy.

  2. Use at room temperature to grease baking pans in place of oil and flour or non-stick cooking spray. Alternatively, for a thinner coat, you may melt the mixture and apply with a silicone baking brush, your fingers, etc.

  3. Store in a mason jar or air-tight container in the refrigerator up to 6 months or pantry below 80 degrees F, for up to 3 months. Then, to apply thick coats, bring a small amount to room temperature. For thin coats, melt and apply to baking pans immediately.
