An easy recipe using boneless or bone-in country-style pork ribs, make fall-off-the-bone tender ribs.
Remove excess fat from ribs by cutting them into pieces; add to a large pot and barely cover with water; bring to a boil; simmer for approximately 2 hours..
Prior to the completion of the simmering process, preheat the oven to low broil, for about 15 minutes.
Place the ribs on a broiling pan on baking sheet and slather with your sauce of choice.
Place 6-inches from beneath the broiler element with oven door closed until it is charred to your liking. You can also increase the temperature to high broiler but don't leave it unattended as it will burn easily. Keep a close eye on it.
Serve with your favorite potato/rice/pasta side dish and a salad or vegetables.
For Homemade Barbecue Sauce: Saute 1/4 cup chopped yellow or sweet onion in a small saucepan. Add and combine 1 small can of tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar (or more to your liking) and a splash of white distilled vinegar. Sauté for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
For Honey Chipotle Sauce:
Whisk together 1/4 cup honey with 1 teaspoon gluten free chipotle sauce (I use Bufalo brand).
