Marion’s Smart Delights gluten-free mixes are manufactured in a dedicated GFCO/GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group of North America) certified gluten-free facility. In addition, it is an allergen-free (free of 8 allergens) and Kosher facility. Their products are certified gluten-free by GFCO (Gluten Free Certification Organization) which means they are tested for below 10ppm (parts per million) gluten. Each new batch is retested; and some batches are sent to the Nebraska Food Science lab to be 100% certain they are safe for you to consume. The test results thus far have been “undetectable” meaning under 5 ppm. Check out the review and enter Marion’s Smart Delights’ generous giveaway!
They include a heart-healthy option for their lemon bar recipe. You can opt to use olive oil instead of butter or margarine, making it 100% vegan, as well as gluten-free! They also include some whole grains in the gluten-free lemon bar mix to make it even more healthy!
I just love unexpected boxes addressed to me just waiting at my front door when I pull in the driveway. I never know what the potential for bakery delights will be. And, just as the weather has started to turn to cooler, rainy, overcast days, I received a package containing Marion’s Smart Delights Gluten Free Lemon Bar Mix and their Gluten-Free Cookie and Muffin mix! The perfect treats to keep you in a sunny mood all day long…
Gluten-Free Lemon Bar Review
The lemon bars just come out of the oven and I can’t wait to taste them!
Tip:
Note: The filling requires lemon juice, not included, though the filling packet does contain lemon flavor. In addition, you can make strawberry lemon bars or even vegan lemon bars. See their lemon bar recipes at http://www.marionssmartdelights.com/recipes-a-reviews/itemlist/category/11-muffin-recipes
Time for a taste – Still very warm (box does say to cool completely, but who can wait?!)… Amazing! I can only imagine how good these bars will be once properly cooled to room temperature or chilled in the fridge…
Gluten-Free Cookie and Muffin Mix Review
Feeling muffin deprived, I dove right into the mix, deciding to add gluten-free granola to the mix with some chocolate chips and see what would happen…
Note: Additional ingredients needed are: eggs, butter, applesauce, and baking powder, but they have many different recipes using their mixes on their website, including ones which are dairy-free. See all of their cookie and muffin recipes at http://www.marionssmartdelights.com/recipes-a-reviews/itemlist/category/11-muffin-recipes
The mix is set up in such a way that you can make multiple baked goods with this mix.
I made my mix according to directions with the goal of warm muffins in mind. The mix itself yielded very fluffy batter which filled 12 regular size muffin cups, two heart shaped ramekins and one 6 ounce ramekin. With 7 minutes left on the timer I checked the oven and they rose only slightly but look wonderful.
Muffins are out of the oven now – and the verdict is delicious! Fluffy and perfect texture without being gummy (my concern was with both 1 stick of butter AND 1C applesauce). I just love it when baking products shatter the myths that there are no gluten-free foods and what is available will taste terrible! Not true, and Marion’s Smart Delights are proof positive.

Hi Christina,
No need to unlike Gluten Free Carla on Facebook. All you needed to do is to mention that you already like it, which you did. You are now entered. Good luck!
I liked the facebook page mentioned to get another entry! Hope it's my lucky day!
I would love to try these products. The only way I can is to enter this giveaway! I love to cook and miss the ease of pullling down the regular foulr jar.
I'd like to be entered into the giveaway because I have not had the opportunity to do much baking as an on-campus college student and I'm eager to try while living at home for my student teaching next semester!
I already like you on Facebook, but I could like you again if you'd like. =]
Oops, just realized I should like Marion's Smart Delights, and did so on Facebook.
