NOW Gluten Free Energy Bars Review and Giveaway

The makers of NOW Energy Bars sent me some of their gluten free energy bars to sample. Perhaps you’ve heard of the TV show, The Amazing Race? If so, you may be familiar with its host and television personality, Phil Keoghan’s. The show has been going strong since 2001 and so has Phil. He is the maker of  NOW Energy Bars which comes in many delicious flavors. They contacted me in hopes that I would be interested in reviewing their bars, and I was, as energy bars are such an easy way to grab and go.

Always on the go, Phil has developed a gluten free energy bar that he finds healthy, nutritious, and delicious. Luckily for the gluten-intolerant he makes sure that they are safe to eat.

Gluten Free Testing to Avoid Cross Contamination of ALL Allergens

All NOW Energy Bars are manufactured in a certified gluten free facility, approved and tested by the Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO), a subsidiary of Gluten Intolerance Group of North America GIG). NOW not only inspects and test their products for gluten cross contamination, but they do so all they way down the to the original suppliers. It is Elisa tested for under 10 ppm (parts per million) and are certified gluten free. This is a very good thing!

For those of you have who allergic to other allergens, you’ll be pleased to learn that NOW has Adopted a “zero tolerance” philosophy for allergen cross-contamination.

Review of NOW Energy Bars

If you enjoy Fig Newtons, think double the pleasure with NOW Energy Manuka Newtons! Whether the strawberry or honey flavor, they are a truly a sweet treat, in addition to the the nutritious ingredients. They’re full of chia seeds which are very healthy! Manuka Newtons are my husband’s new best friend.

I’m more of a nut person, though. Therefore the NOW White Chocolate, Fruit and Nut, Honeycomb & Raisin are my faves. I’ve never cared for peanuts, but I must say the Peanut & Caramel flavor is pretty darn good. However, I’ve never been a fan of raisins or white chocolate, and I really enjoyed those the best. They’re all sticky, gooey, chewy good! As far as the white chocolate goes, you don’t even notice they’re in there, as they are in the form of miniature chocolate chips, not mini, but miniature. I’m talking tiny. So you barely notice them, but they add so much flavor, moisture, and flavor, what’s not to enjoy?
