When you want to quickly make a flavorful Asian-style vegetable, reach for snow peas. This sesame snow peas recipe is not only fast to make but tastes delicious. They are perfectly paired with Chinese food such as Potstickers, Fried Rice, and Egg Rolls as well as plain chicken or pork.
A quick and easy recipe for sesame snow peas seasoned with toasted sesame oil, sesame seeds, garlic, ginger, and tamari sauce.
If you're not using toasted sesame oil, add the sesame seeds to a large skillet and toast in an ungreased skillet over medium-high heat until many are toasted;; set aside.
Using a parring knife, trim off both tips of each snow pea; set aside.
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and swirl around the pan.
Add the snow peas and stir, cooking for just 2 minutes. Add the garlic and ginger, and cook for 1 minute.
Add the tamari/soy sauce and stir, cooking until the peas reach your desired tenderness. Traditionally, it should not be cooked further and kept a bit crisp. Top with sesame seeds and serve.
