It’s very easy to do and takes very little time. You can toast any seeds, but hemp seeds in particular need to be toasted, as they are hard seeds. Other seeds such as sesame seeds don’t need to be toasted. You can use toasted hemp seeds not only on the tops of your bread, but inside, as well. Now, get to baking some gluten free bread!

Toasted Hemp Seeds Recipe

Yield: Makes 1/4 cup.

Toasted hemp seeds for salads, bread, or anything where you desire a nutty flavor and crunchy texture.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup hemp seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Add the seeds to heavy skillet and cook on medium-high heat.
  2. Cook them until they turn a darker color, about 2 minutes and then add the oil.
  3. Continue to cook, stirring often, for about 3 - 4 minutes.
  4. Transfer to a plate to cool.
