In honor of National Creamsicle Day, I offer you a refreshing and cooling dessert. It’s perfect for hot summer days or nights. Want an after dinner cocktail dessert? Add some vodka!
8 small scoops vanilla ice cream (most are gluten free)
Instructions:
Standard Creamsicle Float:
Fill each of four glasses half full of gluten free orange soda. (If using vodka, add 1/2 ounce now.) Add one scoop of vanilla ice cream. Fill the glass with additional soda (adding another 1/2 ounce vodka, if using), leaving room for one more scoop of ice cream. Top with the final scoop of ice cream and serve immediately.
Icy Creamsicle Float:
Add soda to your blender. Add enough ice to create a slushy (that's what we called an icy in my youth). If desired, add 4 ounces of gluten free vodka. Blend until icy.
Fill each of four glasses with the orange icy mixture. Add a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pour more icy mixture into the glass and top with another small scoop of vanilla ice cream.
