Gluten Free Steak Pizzaiola

Ingredients:

• For the Steak Pizzaiola:
• 2/3 lb. thinly sliced steak
• 3 cloves garlic
• 1/2 15 -oz. can crushed tomatoes
• 2 Tablespoons tomato paste
• 1/4 cup dry white or red wine (Chablis, Chardonay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Burgundy)
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• Salt, to taste
• Ground black pepper, to taste
• Freshly chopped parsley
• 1 Tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese (or Kraft shaker) (optional)

Instructions:

1. Smash the garlic using the side of a large knife. Add oil and garlic to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and swirl oil around the pan to allow the garlic to infuse the oil. Return to heat, add steak, and brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer steak to a plate; and set aside.
2. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
3. Add steak and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Remove crushed garlic pieces, sprinkle in parsley, and stir.
5. Transfer to serving plates and garnish with additional parsley; and serve immediately. Serve over pasta, gluten free bread, or both; along with a salad or vegetables of your choosing.
