Steak pizzaiola is known for being simple. You can make it simply using steak, tomato puree, tomatoes, garlic and oil. Season it with salt and pepper; and you’re done. However, for a truly amazing flavor, make this recipe, instead. It only includes two additional ingredients and is worth it.

Yield: Serves 2
A naturally gluten free steak pizzaiola with more flavor than you'd ever expect.
Ingredients:
For the Steak Pizzaiola:
2/3 lb. thinly sliced steak
3 cloves garlic
1/2 15 -oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 Tablespoons tomato paste
1/4 cup dry white or red wine (Chablis, Chardonay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Burgundy)
Smash the garlic using the side of a large knife. Add oil and garlic to a large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Remove from heat and swirl oil around the pan to allow the garlic to infuse the oil. Return to heat, add steak, and brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer steak to a plate; and set aside.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, wine, and oregano. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
Add steak and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
Remove crushed garlic pieces, sprinkle in parsley, and stir.
Transfer to serving plates and garnish with additional parsley; and serve immediately. Serve over pasta, gluten free bread, or both; along with a salad or vegetables of your choosing.
