Use this simply syrup recipe in cocktails, homemade soda, and desserts. It's an easy way to save money instead of purchasing drink mixes.

Ingredients:

1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:

Place water and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook on low heat, and stir until the sugar dissolves, about 2 - 5 minutes.
Once sugar dissolves, stir and continue to cook for 1 - 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cool in the refrigerator until completely cool.
Store covered in a glass container for a month or more.
