Thanks for the recipe. I had an allergic reaction to flaxseed bread. I am wondering if there is anything else I can substitute. I can't do tree nuts, seeds, or gluten, and need to do low carb.
I've found recipes using broccoli and other vegetables, but they are more for a pizza crust, which can still work. But if possible, it would be nice to have something that is more like bread or a roll, once in a while.
No worries if there isn't really a low-carb substitute. Thanks!
Melody,
All of my low-carb gluten free bread recipes contain either seeds or nut flours. Many people intolerant to seeds can tolerate sunflower seeds. Ground sunflower seeds is my only suggestion for a substitution.
Maybe you can experiment with this cloud bread recipe: https://glutenfreerecipebox.com/single-serve-gluten-free-microwave-bread/. I suggest trying to substitute the all-purpose flour blend and milk powder with NOW Foods brown rice protein powder and/or their pea protein protein: https://glutenfreerecipebox.com/single-serve-gluten-free-microwave-bread/. Let me know if you try it.
The best cauliflower pizza crust I've ever had: https://glutenfreerecipebox.com/gluten-free-cauliflower-pizza-crust-low-carb/. I would make it without any toppings and use as sandwich bread.
Good luck!
