Participants Needed in Celiac Disease Study

May is Celiac Awareness Month. If you have celiac disease, what better contribution can you make to the celiac community than participating in a celiac disease study to further celiac research? Check out the details below to discover if you may qualify. If you have any questions about the drug or the study, contact CeliAction through their website linked below. Please note that I cannot reply to your questions, but CeliAction will. Their message below has been approved by the FDA, as are their replies.

Did you know there isn’t a single drug approved to treat celiac disease? Currently, attempting a gluten-free diet is the only option recommended by doctors, but a clinical research study called the CeliAction Study is researching if an investigational drug improves any symptoms of the disease.

You may qualify for the CeliAction Study if you:

  • Have been diagnosed with celiac disease by a healthcare professional
  • Are attempting to be on a gluten-free diet
  • Have experienced at least one moderate or severe symptom of celiac disease in the past month

If you participate in the CeliAction Study, you:

  • Will be able to maintain your current diet restrictions
  • Will be provided with study-related care at no cost
  • Do not need medical insurance to take part
  • May be compensated for time and travel
  • Will help advance medical research for celiac disease

  • Would love to participate! I have been on a gluten free diet for five years however while going through a pain management program in Jacksonville, Fl. found out I was still getting some gluten through hidden sources. Been really checking out everything since. Been on a more reliable gluten free diet for two years now. It must take years to get your health issues back to normal after getting off gluten, if you can ever truly do that!??

    Sincerely,
    Brenda Meenach

    ever completely reverse the effects!??
free diet faithfully now for yep years

  • Called to be apart of it since I was diagnosed in 2009 & have Liver Disease due to my Celiac, but there isn't even an office within 100 miles of Springfield, MO. Boo!
