A few weeks ago, a member mentioned cherry liqueur. My taste buds asked me, “What?!!!” I had to make homemade cherry liqueur. My husband loves cherry everything. The gal who mentioned it was using it to flavor Homemade Whipped Cream to fill Gluten Free Chocolate Cream Puffs. I had to do the same. It is amazing! My favorite way to serve this cherry liqueur though is over crushed ice in a shot glass…an adult snow cone. That’s a thing now!
Update: If prefer to omit the cherry emulsion by LorAnn Oils, use more cherry juice but reduce it to the amount.
Stir in the vodka or rum and a little cherry flavoring. Go light on the flavoring as it is extremely potent.
Store in a jar or empty alcohol bottle and allow the ingredients to marry for several days. However, if you're in a pinch, go ahead and use it without resting. Use to flavor and add additional sweetness to homemade whipped cream, add to crushed ice to make an adult snow cone, shake chilled liqueur with ice and serve as an after-dinner drink along with or for dessert.
*If prefer to omit the cherry emulsion by LorAnn Oils, use 1-1/2 cups cherry juice and reduce it to about 3/4 cup.

I ended up using plain gf cream puffs. Put a dollop of thick fudge sauce in puff. Topped chocolate with one of those yummy expensive cherries in syrup and topped with the cherry liquor whipped cream and cream puff top. Delicious!
Sounds delicious! I love the cherry inside too and I’m not a huge cherry fan.
Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the inspiration!
