Carla's Gluten Free Recipe Box Newsletter: DATE April 6, 2015

Dear reader,

Image: Gluten Free Macaroni Cheese, Ham and Sour Cream

I thought since many of you served ham on Easter you would appreciate having some gluten free ham recipes to use up your leftover ham. They include breakfast to dinner and casseroles to empanadas. While many of these dishes contain cheese they can easily be made dairy-free and vegan by using dairy-free substitute cheese. My favorite brand is Follow Your Heart. If you cannot locate this brand try the Daiya brand. It's my next favorite. My favorite brands of gluten free pasta are Trader Joe's brown rice pasta (organic or non-organic), Jovial brown rice pasta, Tinkyada brown rice pasta,  and Heartland pasta made with rice and corn. Heartland is the best thus far for those who are corn tolerant. Meanwhile, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday with family and/or friends. Get these recipes now!

Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy the list of my latest gluten free recipes giveaways.

Happy and healthy gluten free cooking,

~ Carla

Homemade Gluten Free Fondant

Discover the answer to the question, "Is Fondant Gluten Free?"

Not all fondant brands are gluten free. If you are intolerant to gluten, you may wish to go one step further and find out if the manufacture processes gluten-containing products on the same equipment. One way to be sure your fondant is gluten free is to make your own.

Simply using gluten free marshmallows and confectioners' sugar, you can make homemade gluten free fondant. Add a little water and food coloring and you're all set to decorate. You can mold this fondant into any creation you can think up. Get ready, set, start!
