Wine and Cheese Gluten Free Cracker Recipe

Image: Wine and Cheese Gluten Free Crackers

I am honored to present this gluten free cracker recipe that I developed for WholeVine. They offer grapeskin and grapeseed flour made from wine grape remnants as well as gluten free cookies. A couple of months ago I surveyed my Facebook followers for their favorite wine, and Riesling was the winner. So, I used Riesling grapeseed flour in this gluten free cracker recipe. However, they offer several other varieties, including grapeseed flour. Just be sure not to use grapeseed flour in this recipe as additional liquid ingredient would be required. Meanwhile, cut your favorite cheese, pour a glass of wine, and enjoy! Continue reading “Wine and Cheese Gluten Free Cracker Recipe”

Gluten Free Anadama Bread

Image: Gluten Free Anadama Bread Sliced

This gluten free anadama bread recipe is a variation of the Anadama bread made years ago in Massachusetts. It was a corn meal and wheat-based bread lightly sweetened with molasses. Though it existed prior to the 1840s, a baker used to deliver the bread to households in in the late 1800s in Massachusetts. It was later baked by a restaurant owner until 1956, and then by a bakery on Cape Ann in Massachusetts until 1970. Other bakeries offered anadama bread for several years later, however, it eventually lost its popularity. This gluten free anadama bread is similar, but uses rice flour instead of wheat. If you are intolerant to rice flour, you may substitute it with sorghum flour. This bread makes a wonderful breakfast bread as it tastes a bit like an English muffin. Amazing Gluten Free Jamaican Coco Bread Recipe

I was looking to make something different in the gluten free bread category. So, I did a Google search for Jamaican bread and the rest is history. Coco bread got its name because it is usually made with coconut milk, however, there are several version online that call for regular milk, and even coconut. The texture of these lovely pockets are truly amazing for being gluten free. I will be making these often. This recipe was converted to gluten free from this gluten Jamaican Coco Bread Recipe. Soft Gluten Free Flour Tortilla Recipe (Commercial Yeast-Free Naan Bread)

Image: Gluten Free Flour Tortilla Stuffed with Chicken Salad and Baby Greens

I already have a few gluten free tortilla recipes: Low-Sodium Gluten Free Tortillas (my first attempt – very similar to Trader Joe’s brand – chewy and a little stiff), Gluten Free Naan Bread (so good, but is thick and calls for instant yeast), and Soft Whole Grain Gluten Free Wraps – Tortillas (when you use Expandex modified tapioca starch these are the best!). However, I will continue to work on a soft flour tortilla using easily accessible and natural ingredients without the use of yeast. Today, I present you with another soft gluten free tortilla recipe. I was in the mood for a healthy bread, and knowing many of you have been waiting for me to develop a gluten-free dairy-free egg-free bread recipe, I thought I’d give it a go today. I normally would have began experimenting with light flours. However, for containing many heavier grain flours, this bread turned out amazing. Of course, you cannot fold it like you can many of my other gluten free bread recipes that contain egg, but it surely has a delicious flavor and can be used for sandwiches. I hope you enjoy it. Fast Single Serve Yeast-Free Gluten-Free Bread Recipe (Dairy-Free)

Image: Gluten Free Microwaved Bread

While this gluten free bread recipe is not the ideal way to make bread, it sure comes in handy in a pinch, especially if you’re in a hurry. It goes well with a moist filling such as chicken salad, or even bacon or sausage since it made with a large amount of egg. Made in the microwave just in one and half minutes, this is an easy recipe you can through together and be out the door in no time. This gluten free yeast free bread recipe is high in protein due to the egg and if you use whole grain flour, it should be twice as healthy. Gluten Free Bread Recipe with Toasted Hemp and Sesame Seeds

Whole Grain Gluten Free Bread with Toasted Hemp Seeds

One of my regular readers was looking for a soft gluten free bread recipe that had an interesting flavor. I love a nutty flavor and the use of teff flour definitely fits that flavor profile. However, I didn’t stop there. I added some toasted hemp seeds along with sesame seeds. The nutty flavors compliment the sweetness of the honey quite well.

Soft Potato-Free Corn-Free Gluten Free Bread Recipe (Dairy-Free Option)

Image: Soft Gluten Free Bread Folded

I thought it appropriate to create a gluten free bread recipe which is free of both corn and potato since so many of you are intolerant to either or both.  My husband is a breadaholic. He refers to himself as a bread connoisseur. It’s always a compliment when he enjoys my gluten free bread recipes, as he still consumes some gluten food. He enjoyed this one, and I hope you will, too. It’s perfect for young kids as well as adults.

Note: The photo of the bread folded below is when it is cool…and it is still very soft.

Amazing Gluten Free Pumpernickel Bread

Image: Gluten Free Pumpernickel Bread

When recently asked if I had a gluten free pumpernickel bread recipe, it gave me pause for thought as the gluten version of pumpernickel bread is made with rye flour, as well as others. Could I duplicate rye? Buckwheat flour is very close as a whole grain, and in color. Though many varieties of pumpernickel are a bit sour, I skipped the sourdough starter so that it would be easier for you all to make. I am not a fan of rye bread though this is not only my new favorite gluten free bread, it is my gluten-eating husband’s as well. It was amazing with swiss cheese! Pumpernickel is known for a soft crust, and this one definitely meets those expectations. Enjoy! Continue reading “Amazing Gluten Free Pumpernickel Bread”
