Gluten Free Almond Cranberry Bars

Gluten Free Almond Cranberry Bars

Try this recipe for addictive almond cranberry bars. They’re a true delight. I would choose these bars over cake or other sugary sweets. They are definitely a less guilty pleasure. They’re heavy, similar to chewy brownies, perhaps a bit more heavier. Yet they are chewy. They satisfy your sweet tooth for dessert, as well. They’re just addicting! I blew my diet this week by having two – well worth it! Continue reading “Gluten Free Almond Cranberry Bars”

Grain-Free Gluten-Free Black Bean Brownies (Allergen-Free)

Gluten Free Black Bean Brownies

Bean flours create higher risen baked goods, but many of the flours create a bitter flavor. One way of getting around this is by using cooked beans. I prefer to use refried black beans. They’re so creamy and not bitter at all. The dark color is perfect for chocolate dishes such as this gluten free brownie recipe. It is dairy-free, gum-free, and grain-free, techinically, as buckwheat is a seed, not a grain. Some refer to buckwheat as pseudograin.

Gluten Free Caramel and Pecan Blondies

Gluten Free Caramel Pecan Blondies

Blondies are dessert bars, blonde brownies. The cake portion traditionally contains flour, butter, brown sugar, baking powder, vanilla and eggs. Similar to chocolate brownies, they are a bit heavier but blonde in color. These decadent gluten free blondies are topped with dulce de leche (thick, rich caramel) and pecans. The cake layer is made from traditional blondie ingredients. Enjoy. Continue reading “Gluten Free Caramel and Pecan Blondies”

Rather than having to make homemade gluten free graham crackers, you make and pre-bake the crust all in one step. Use strawberry jam or make homemade agave jam (recipe linked below). Either way, it’s a special treat, even gluten-eaters enjoy. Continue reading “Gluten Free Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars”
