Creamy Asian Brown Rice Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)
Each year when I go to the Expo West trade show, in Anaheim, I am honored with a package of a Tasty Bite product. This year they repeated my favorite product, Asian Vegetable Rice. I haven’t looked for it yet in my local store, but I was desperately craving some. So, I created this copycat Asian brown rice recipe. Theirs contains white rice, I believe. Therefore, this recipe contains more fiber, can be made sugar-free and dairy-free, and provides you with plenty of substitution choices. Make it spicy or mild. While the ingredients of Tasty Bite Asian Vegetable Rice is slightly different, this recipe is extremely delicious. You can turn it into a casserole by simply adding your favorite protein. I added cooked, cubed chicken breast. Enjoy! Continue reading “Creamy Asian Brown Rice Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)”

Gluten Free Buttermilk Cream of Potato Soup Recipe
This buttermilk cream of potato soup recipe was almost created in error. I recently had created a Crunchy Gluten Free Onion Rings Recipe for Answers.com. I had soaked the onion rings in buttermilk and had about a third of the rings leftover. I had left them in the refrigerator for about three days and when I opened up the container it smelled amazing! I knew I had to create a soup recipe out of it, and did just that. I have fallen in love with this soup and will definitely be making it again. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Lemon or Lime Sorbet – Palate Cleansers
In a four or more course meal, palate cleansers are used to cleanse your palate of the flavors that linger from the previous courses. This way, you are able to experience the true flavor of the next dish without any aftertaste affecting your taste buds. It is similar to the method that wine tasters use before tasting another variety of wine. In France, palate cleansers are also used to improve digestion and to stimulate the appetite.
