Gluten Free Girl Scout Trios Cookies Giveaway!

The Girl Scouts are testing a pilot project of gluten free Girl Scout cookies. They are only available in limited quantities, in limited areas. They will do follow-up research to determine if they will continue to sell them in the future. To coax them into carrying them every year, especially the Trios – yum!, I decided to order 6 extra packages to giveaway to one lucky winner. I would like to encourage everyone who wishes for gluten free Girl Scout cookies to be available in the future especially Girl Scout Trios Cookies, to enter, as a way of showing interest to the organization. THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED.

If you wish to provide feedback to the Girl Scout organization, please leave your feedback on my Trios Gluten Free Girl Scout Review page. That page serves as a platform for the Girl Scout organization to judge the level of interest within the gluten free community. There you can tell them if their cookies contain an allergen that you or your child have.

Trios Girl Scout Cookies Giveaway

My Review

While the Girl Scouts are selling two different gluten free cookies, the only ones I have tried and reviewed are the Trios. Trios are amazing, at least for gluten free cookies that aren’t homemade. They’re chewy, yet crisp and have everything you may expect in three different cookies…chocolate chips, peanut butter and oatmeal. You can learn more by read my Trios Gluten Free Girl Scout Review.

As far as the other variety of cookies they are selling, I hear they are extremely hard. I am not interested in those at all as I enjoy chewy cookies, or at least crisp, but definitely not hard.

If you cannot find any Trios in your area, you can make similar ones from the recipe that I created, Flourless Copycat Trios Recipe.

210 Replies to “Gluten Free Girl Scout Trios Cookies Giveaway!”

  1. My daughter has celiac and these were one of the first cookies we found that she really liked.

  2. I miss Girl Scout cookies but with RA and UC, the gluten causes too much inflammation. :(

  3. I would like to try these cookies because I have just learned that I am gluten intolerant and I am struggling really hard with it and I am having a hard time learning what I can now eat and really enjoy. And when I found out there were such thing as gluten free girl scout cookies I couldn’t find them in my area.

  4. I would like to win these because I didn’t try this kind, only the other flavor, which in my opinion are okay if dipped in milk.

  5. I work with a young man who is diabetic and has celiac disease. He would see the adults at school buying girl scout cookies but he was never able to have them. It would be great for him to be able to enjoy that tradition.

  6. I would love the chance for my son to have some Girl Scout cookies again. He has autism and we have been using dietary interventions with him (with great results) for the past seven years. There are just some things that we miss and our yearly cookies has been one of them.

  7. I have a seven year old boy who would love them. He has gluten intolerance and have been enjoying the gluten free Carmel gluten free cookies and has tried the trios and enjoyed them.

  8. My daughter has Non-Celiac Gluten Intolerance, & I have Celiac Disease. My daughter is also a Junior Girl Scout. We were so excited about the Trios coming out because finally, after years of her selling GS cookies but not being able to eat any ourselves, we were finally able to. And oh, are they good!! The bg of Trios that her troop leader bought for us didn’t last long! It’d be terrific if I won these & could surprise her!

  9. My daughter and I both have celiac. My daughter is a Girl Scout and she was finally able to try the Toffe Tastic cookies this year, but we would love to try the Trios and they aren’t available in our area.

  10. Finding out you have celiacs is not fun & then to be constantly reminded of things you can’t have makes it worse. Ao when I saw a neighbor girl knock on my door selling cookies, I immediately got depressed…but then I remembered they had GF cookies now! I can enjoy them with my family. All is good!’

  11. I might be celiac in nature, I’m not sure, but I do have 3 autoimmune diseases and decided to go gluten free….I feel so much better! These Girl Scout Trios would be such a nice treat for my family. We are all gluten free and half vegetarian and dairy free. Not too many snacks make it in. Thank you for all the great recipes! Love cooking the GF way!

  12. I would love to win some new gluten-free girl scout cookies to share with my family as my daughter would thoroughly enjoy them and they would be so much easier to digest. Thank you!

  13. I really miss many things that Celiac Disease forbids & Girl Scout cookies are close to the top of that list. The Girl Scouts in our area do not have Gluten Free cookies. I would love to be able to indulge in this giveaway; thanks for the opportunity to do so.

  14. I buy your chocolate cookies every two weeks as my one only treat I absolutely love your products whether it’s the sugar cookie Chocolate chip mmmmm I want to try these !

  15. Girl Scout Cookies … Yummmmmmmm! What a treat that would be. Sure I make my own cookies at home, but to get something that is a favorite to a lot of people. This is major plus for gluten free!

  16. I would love to win these Girl Scout cookies! What can you say oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies that are gluten free, I’m in!

  17. All I can say is: Finallllllllyyyy! Girl Scouts of America, I salute you! Gluten-free Girl Scout Cookies are an answer to my prayers. :)

  18. I would love to win and try since these are not available near me and I have a few gluten free friends who I would share them with.

  19. I would love to try these cookies. My sister, daughter and I are all celiacs and have been gluten free for years. Would be so wonderful to once again have a Girl Scout cookie.

  20. Hey, they’re cookies, what can I say? And they’re gluten free! And they’re COOKIES!!

  21. I just like having the option to have “name brand” things again things that are familiar and taste good too

  22. I have missed girl scout cookies for years since going gluten free! I can’t wait to try the gluten free girl scout cookies! And I’ll be sure to share them with my gluten free family!
    ~Thanks!~

  23. I would like to try gluten free cookies and share with my friends who are also gluten free.

  24. I am entering not just because I’ve got a wheat allergy, I am mostly entering because my autistic son also has a wheat allergy & it is SoOoO difficult to find anything reasonably priced, that tastes good, that has quality…both my daughter & I have been girl scouts as well as the nanas…very excited for this opportunity

  25. I have made your recipe for the cookies, and they received rave reviews from my (Celiac) husband, who is very picky to say the least. If I won the Girl Scout cookies, it would give me a break from constantly baking chocolate chip cookies, and give him a new treat. Store-bought GF cookies are not that great, as you know.

  26. i would love to win this because my memories is fading on how the girl scout cookies taste its been over 30 yrs . and I can not buy these around my area at all. would love to get to taste them then go to our local counsel and convenes them to sell them next time. and put a big smile on my face too.

  27. I wish these were being tried out in our area. It would be wonderful to try, especially after your review.

  28. I would love to try these since I have not seen these in my area. My daughter does not even remember the taste of girl scout cookies since she has been gluten free for 8 years. I do remember them though but am gluten free as well now.

  29. I would love to win these. I have not had the opportunity to purchase the GF GS cookies in my area, and would love to try them. I prefer a nice crunchy cookie, so I think these would be right up my gluten free cookie alley!!

  30. Our local troop didn’t order any, as they thought no one would buy them. I bought regular cookies for my husband and son, then my celiac daughter and I resented them for days. :)

  31. I would love to try them. I looked for them in my area but they didn’t have any. I’m in such a small town, I have very little that’s gluten free here. Thank you.

  32. Can’t wait to try them. Have not encountered any Girl Scout group selling gluten free cookies locally, but really want to try them!!

  33. I would like to try them. I tried to get whatever gluten free cookies the girl scouts had here; I have not tried any of them yet. But they only got limited amount, and I guess they went fast. Lol…Would love to win so could go ahead and try them instead of waiting to see if I can get them next year.

  34. I would love to win because none were sold in my area. I would love for my granddaughter to try them along with me and see how she likes them.

  35. I would love to win these cookies for many reasons. For me, most problematic is that I have a proven history of being a terrible baker. I try every now and again and usually the cookies and some part of me is burned. I do make really good chili.

  36. I would love to win and try the Trios. I tried the Toffee ones and they were delicious!

  37. I have ordered and tried the gluten free Toffee-tastic. This was the first time in many years that I was able to eat girl scout cookies and they didn’t disappoint. They were amazing! Hard enough to give that lovely toffee texture, yet pliable after the first bite. I’m a bit ashamed to say I ate two boxes over two weeks and need to order more, but they were hard to resist. I would love to win this and try the Trios, as those weren’t an option given to me.

  38. I would love to try the GF Girl Scout cookies. My daughter is a GS and I would encourage the local council to ask for them. I also miss the Samoas.

  39. Unfortunately, I now live in a small community; we do not have any girl guides or boy scouts, etc. I’ve always looked forward to their “cookie” drive yearly.. love their cookies … had to buy one of each! Was not aware that they now have gluten-free cookies .. BONUS!

  40. I would love to win these cookies because they weren’t available in my area. I bake, but it is nice sometimes to buy instead!

  41. I would like to win these as my favorite flavors are chocolate and peanut butter.

  42. I would love to win. This flavor wasn’t available in my area, but the other ones were. They were delicious, so I’m sure these are just as equally delicious. Yum, yum! I can’t wait for my prize.

  43. i want to enter the gluten free cookies from the girl scouts, as i have not had a girl scout cookie for years as they don’t come around to our houses and i always miss them. as a proud past girl scout my self in the 50-60’s . would be great to try them and eat safe with out gluten,

  44. I was a girl scout when growing up and always sold the cookies. Now that I am gluten free, I would love to taste these new GF cookies. Big salute to the Girl Scouts organization for recognizing the need to offer this GF alternative!!

  45. Hi,
I do not have Trios available in my area. I would love to try them and share with my GF family and friends.
    Thanks for doing this.

  46. We only got to try the Toffee Tastic, and they lived up to their name. They were fantastic. Based on this fact, we (my husband and I are both gluten free), we would love to try the Trios.

I follow Carla and GFRecipeBox on Twitter and Facebook. Maybe both on Pinterest too!

  47. I’d love to try these cookies. I wanted to buy them, but the girl scouts around here don’t sell them :(

  48. I tried your “Trios” recipe and the cookies were fantastic! I gave them to my friends who could not tell they were gluten free. Thanks for your dedication to good taste. Let’s hope the Girl Scouts keep these gluten free cookies coming. In my area, you had to drive to the GS Office to get the toffee ones (no Trios were available). What were they thinking?!

  49. What wonderful news that the Trios are so yummy. We were able to try the Toffeetastic cookies which were excellent shortbread cookies. The best gf shortbread I’ve had. They really didn’t crumble. Thank you for offering this giveaway. My son was so excited to buy girl scout cookies for the first time in his life.

  50. I bought some of the toffee tastic cookies. I wanted to try the trios, but they were not offered in my area. I love that there are options! I would love to win these to try tem for myself and to share a couple boxes with other Celiac patients I know.

  51. i love girl scout cookies. they are hard to find in my area but they dont have gluten free ones in my area. i have crohn’s disease and have been gluten free for awhile and havent had girl scout cookies in a long time would like to have some again.

  53. I would love to win these cookies. I bought some from a child selling them in our neighborhood. They are delicious!!!!

  54. My daughter troop only got one case of these. I was only able to get one box. I would love to surprise her with more to have for the year. She is a second year Daisy. Her older sister and brother gets the other cookies. It would make her day.

  55. I would SO lOvE to win these Girl Scout cookies for my little 8 year old! She is celiac so cookies are a major treat for her! I am so excited Girls Scouts are doing this!

  56. I want to win these because I’m so excited to eat Girl Scout cookies again like a regular person. It was a surprise in far Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky that we got the Toffee Tastic cookies and they are FABULOUS!

  59. I would love to try these gluten-free Girl Scout cookies as they sound incredibly nutritious and wonderful for digestion sensitivities. Please enter me in the giveaway as I’d like to share them with my family and use in packed lunches too! Thank you Carla!

  60. My daughter would enjoy these as they’d be healthy and easy to digest as well. Thanks for the giveaway.

  61. I’m also an email subscriber! Thank you so much Carla for all your fabulous reviews and fun giveaways!

  62. Wow!! My family loves the Girl Scouts and I didn’t even know they made gluten-free cookies now! Please enter me in the giveaway as my family would love these healthy treats for packed lunches! Thank you Carla!

  63. My son, 9 yo, has had to adopt a gluten free diet recently. He is wanting some cookies in the worst way. His sister is just starting Girl Scout cookie season and he is so sad that he won’t be able to eat any Girl Scout cookies this year.

  64. I would love to try these. I was only able to get toffeetastic in my area. It’s so exciting to be able to enjoy Girl Scout cookies again.

  65. My post isn’t showing up! I want to try these so very badly because I miss them so much and they aren’t available in my area. I already follow you on FB and follow your boards on Pinterest.

  66. My daughter can only eat G.F. AND WOULD LOVE THESE COOKIES. SHES BEEN A GIRL SCOUT SINCE 1st grade

  67. I would love to win these! I heard the Girl Scouts were selling gluten free cookies, but every Girl Scout I have encountered doesn’t have them.

  68. I love GS cookies, but haven’t had any since I went gluten-free. I’d love to see how these measure up to Samoas!

  69. I was a Girl Scout and sold many many boxes of cookies. Now I’m old and gluten free. Would love to try them…for free.

  70. I ordered some and didnt get them because they were sold out. Would love to try them!

  71. I already follow you on fb. I am entering because I am 3 weeks into the gluten free world after finding out that I am gluten sensitive. I am still learning & I hope I win so I can add another thing on my list that I can eat. If I like them, I will continue to buy so we can consistent get them in the PA & NJ area & hopefully more areas.

  72. My friend bought me a box of the Toffee-tastic cookies and they are DELICIOUS!! I would love for them to become a Game regular.

  73. My daughter is 5 and has to have gluten free. The trios are one of few bought cookies she loves! I actually have them flown to me from other states because they’re not available here. I would love to win these for her!

  74. I’d love to win. Ive been gf since November (such a hard lesson for me) to have gs cookies would be so lovely! I was a gs up through to become a leader. While im no longer a leader I still support gs! Unfortunately council didnt order gf to go around. I did get to taste the toffee one as I had a friend who shared hers.
I will share if I win! (Even though part of me wants to hide them from prying eyes)

  75. We had only the hard, toffee version in our area, and they were not very good. I would love to win this, so we could try this version.

  76. I wasn’t able to get them in my area and I was excited when I first heard then disappointed because I couldn’t get any, so I’d love to win!

  77. I want to win because we didn’t have trios in my area and they sound yummy. The toffetastic ones we had were good but very hard to locate a single box I finally got. Sold out everywhere.

  78. I used to be a Girl Scout and remember the Cookie Sales! But now I have Celiacs and really, really miss my cookies!

  79. I already follow gf Carla on FB.

I want to win because it was going to cost $11 to ship a $5.50 box of cookies to my house, so I did not order the gf girl scout cookies.

  80. I would love to try the cookies. I wanted to buy some locally but the troop had only received nine boxes total that were all presold and they could not order more.

  81. I would love to win these. Our local girl scouts didn’t offer any of the gluten free cookies this year.

  82. I would like to win so I can try them! They were not available for pre order in our area and we were told they would be sold outside grocery stores. Then when they had NONE we were told each group only got one case! Do they not realize how many gluten intolerant people there are out there? Always bought lots of cookies before finding out I am gluten intolerant.

  83. I would love to try and win these because the GS unit in my state is not selling them. They use a different company to make their cookies and I have no way of ever tasting these cookies. My daughter is a GS brownie and we are celiac and our unit here is testing GF cookie but not to everyone and it is also not celiac friendly (which we are celiac)

  84. My granddaughter is a Girl Scout. I bought 2 boxes of the Gluten Free cookies. I was not sure if she would like them. She loves them. Now they are sold out in our area and we are not able to get more. The fact that they are sold out should send a message to council to bring them back next year.

  85. I would love to win these cookies for my 12 year old son and I! We have been gluten free for over 5 years and miss Girl Scout cookies.

  86. I would love to try these, they sound wonderful! We have 3 in the family with Celiac disease. The only gf cookies they sold in our area was a dry shortbread w/toffee bits called toffee-tastic. They were good but dry, best when dunked in milk or coffee.

  87. I can’t think of a better way to enjoy gluten free cookies (which gluten free is must in my household), than to do it by supporting the Girl Scouts. Not only are they delicious and a good cause, but also reminiscent of childhood– an extra bonus.

  88. I am entering because I recently went gluten free and am always looking for yummy cookie options.

    1. I am entering since I’ve not had a Girl scout cookie in over ten years.
I think its time for a cookie.

  89. I am not able to find gluten free Girl Scout cookies where Iive. Each troop only got 6 boxes and no one had any to sell
Me. I miss Girl Scout cookies!!!

  90. I used to be a Girl Scout, and my husband cannot eat gluten. I had heard there were gluten free cookies this year, but alas, not available in our area.

  91. I am entering because I used to be a girl scout and I’ve been missing the taste of their cookies ever since I had to give up gluten! I think it’s wonderful that they have decided to try this out. I hope a lot of people purchase them so it will continue in the future!

  92. I would like to win these because I have been GF for 3 years, and no one in my area was selling these :(

  93. I would love to try them before thinking about buying them. I often have people ask me about gluten free items, and I won’t endorse any that I haven’t tried.

  94. I would love for the Girl Scouts to have gluten free cookies as a standard part of their cookie sales campaign. As an adult who has to now be on a gluten free diet, I always feel left out of an age old tradition of Girl Scout cookies I can only imagine how a child must feel.

  95. I am entering because my husband just recently got diagnosed with Celiac disease. I want him to be able to enjoy snacks and snacks that he used to eat. I want him to feel he can still enjoy delicious snacks.

  96. We only got the one kind here in Alaska (hard) so really want to try these other ones. I love supporting girl scouts but not if I can’t enjoy their cookies

  97. I would like to win this because my daughter has Celiac’s disease and she wanted to try these so bad but they sold out before we were able to get a box. Thank you for the oppertunity.

  98. I just recently became gluten free due to stomach pains and issues the doctors still can’t figure out what’s exactley wrong. Making the change has been had and I’ve become a label reader and getting used to different brands and they way things taste. I was super dissapointed when Girl Scout cookies came out this year knowing I wouldn’t be able to have them. Then I caught wind they had GF up for grabs this year. Unfortunately every troop I’ve gone to has been sold out, so I’ve been unable to try any of them. I do hope they continue to sell them next head so I can get another shot at trying them!

  99. My little girl needs to be gluten free so we are trying different things she loves cookies

  100. We only got the hard ones here would like to give them another try with good chewy cookies! I love supporting Girl Scouts but not if I don’t like the cookies

  101. I’m excited that there are gluten free Girl Scout cookies so I don’t have to turn away the kids I know.

  102. I am not able to locate any gluten free cookies in my area! I was a girl scout until I graduated from high school many, many years ago! At that time we not only were required to sell cookies but calendars as well!
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease 8 years ago. Since then I have been vigilant about eating gluten free.

I have waited yearly to have the girl scout cookies in D.C. but so far none! I would like to be able to enjoy GS cookies again!
I don’t do Twitter so this will be my only post.

  103. This is an awesome prize. My granddaughter is selling cookies and we are unable to get the GF in our area. I so wanted to try them. We have purchased 15 boxes already, safely tucked in the freezer for the kids thru out the year. Even better is hearing your review that they are good.

  104. I would love to try these! My niece’s troop didn’t have the gluten free cookies this year :(. Maybe next year.
