Change in Outback Steakhouse Gluten Free Menu – Updated Nov. 1, 2015

Though not confirmed, I hear there is a major change in the Outback Steakhouse gluten free menu. I just received an email from someone who used to visit Outback Steakhouse with her husband, who always ordered their hamburger, using their gluten free bread. They recently visited their local Outback and requested the gluten free bread to find that they are no longer serve it. The husband was very disappointed that he couldn’t order a hamburger with a gluten free bun. The waitress explained that a woman wrote nasty letters to Outback’s corporate office complaining that it was not fair to only serve the gluten free bread at just some Outbacks and not all of the chains. A manager confirmed the story.

Let’s all write Outback thanking them for their efforts to the gluten-free community and request that they bring the gluten free bread back to whichever chains they may safely serve them!

UPDATE – November 1, 2015:

Outback has removed their gluten-free menu from their website. I called my local Outback to see if they still had a gluten-free menu in-house, and they do. The gal was very accommodating and read them all of it to me. It includes steaks, chicken, shrimp, lobster, and ribs. Their French fries are not gluten free. However, their mashed potatoes are.

UPDATE – November 10, 2015:
