If you haven’t heard of @NuGoNutrition then you’re in for a real treat! These gluten free protein bars are rich in flavor, and are very satisfying. They sent us all 3 flavors: Raspberry Truffle, Roasted Peanut, and Brownie Crunch bars to taste-test. Wow! For being low in sugar, these bars are fantastic! I’ve had their NuGo Free bars, which I’ve always enjoyed, but the NuGo Slim Bars seem to taste better to me. Perhaps it is because I’m not a big sugar person. They are made with all natural ingredients. NuGO Slim Bars are made with a natural dietary fiber, chicory root. Then, they dip them in real dark chocolate which contains antioxidants and only adds 2g of sugar, but makes all the difference in the world when it comes to the taste. NuGO Slim is the only low sugar protein bar without artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols, like maltitol, which can cause gastric distress and and an aftertaste. Marion’s Smart Delights gluten-free mixes are manufactured in a dedicated GFCO/GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group of North America) certified gluten-free facility. In addition, it is an allergen-free (free of 8 allergens) and Kosher facility. Their products are certified gluten-free by GFCO (Gluten Free Certification Organization) which means they are tested for below 10ppm (parts per million) gluten. Each new batch is retested; and some batches are sent to the Nebraska Food Science lab to be 100% certain they are safe for you to consume. Looking for gluten free snack bars that are healthy? Simply put the That’s it.TM gluten-free fruit bars are simply delicious. (period) With only 2 ingredients, fruit and fruit (apple and another fruit), along with 2 whole servings of fruit in each bar, how can you go wrong? The bars are soft and chewy. Both my husband and I positively enjoyed them. They are paired with apple, which makes a lovely pair with all of their flavors. You can eat them plain or cut or tear them up and use them in additional recipes you already makes. I can picture them in a bowl of granola and yogurt, in cereal, or even as a substitute in my gluten free snack bars in which I usually use dates. To me, each bite tastes like a natural, healthy, gummy, as in gummy bears. My husband doesn’t experience them that way, though. But he’s a big fan of gummies. You just can’t mess with that! This is something we would be proud to give a kid – and know they’d enjoy it. We both give these gluten-free fruit bars a big thumbs up!
