Gluten Free Devonshire Scones

Light and Fluffy Gluten Free Devonshire Scones

In honor of my UK members, I decided to share a gluten free Devonshire scones recipe. These scones are light like fluffy gluten free biscuits in the U.S. (Europeans call heavy crackers “biscuits”.) If you’re not a fan of typical, heavy scones, you’ll love these! Typically served with strawberry jam and clotted cream, these gluten free Devonshire scones are truly soft and light.

(Devonshire was the former name of Devon County, in South West England. compared to typical English scones. Continue reading “Gluten Free Devonshire Scones”

Crusty Gluten-Free Dairy-Free French Bread (Allergen-Free)

Homemade Gluten Free Dairy Free French Bread

I’ve been developing gluten free bread recipes for almost a decade. This is the best gluten free French bread I have ever had and it’s crusty! You can make this gluten free dairy free French bread recipe without kneading any dough. You don’t even have to pipe a wet dough into a French bread pan as so many gluten free French bread recipes require. Use your heavy-duty electric mixer to make this bread along with one of the five pans that I suggest. Gluten Free Italian Easter Bread (Almond, Lemon, or Vanilla)

Braided Gluten Free Italian Easter Bread - Almond, Lemon, or Vanilla

The texture of this Gluten Free Italian Easter Bread is between a pound cake and bread, and maybe a scone. It is moist due to the cream cheese, which lends a rich and creamy flavor and texture. I also have a Gluten Free Dairy Free Easter Bread Recipe.  However, with this cream cheese version, I really wouldn’t have made it any other way. Serve a small, warm slice with butter for brunch or cooled as a dessert with coffee, tea, or milk. Watch the three videos! Schar Gluten Free Multigrain Bread Recipe for Bread Machine (Copycat)

Copycat Schar Gluten Free Multigrain Bread Machine

Interested in making homemade gluten free bread that doesn’t crumble or stale easily in your boxed lunch? You can probably get away with using my Copycat Schar Gluten Free Bread Recipe for the Oven in your bread machine. However, this bread machine recipe forms a dough ball much easier than the oven version. I used this Breadman machine with a gluten free setting, but you can probably make it successfully on the longest baking bread cycle, even with a double rise, in a standard machine. Meanwhile, this is a delicious, moist bread. Continue reading “Schar Gluten Free Multigrain Bread Recipe for Bread Machine (Copycat)”

Gluten Free Pesto Caesar Salad (Egg-Free)

Gluten Free Basil Caesar-Style Salad

A chef at the Pelicano’s restaurant at Hyatt Zilara Cancun created this twist on Caesar salad dressing as a solution for my citrus allergies. I fell in love with it and so has my family/guests. Traditional Caesar salad dressing contains lemon juice, olive oil, raw or coddled egg yolk, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and black pepper. This version contains only basil pesto sauce and a little additional olive oil. It is much more figure-friendly. This dressing is extremely easy to prepare and will impress your guests. You’ll hear reactions such as, “I never thought about this before!” and “I have plenty of pesto sauce at home!” and “It’s much healthier than Caesar dressing!” and even, “I like this better than Caesar salad!” Continue reading “Gluten Free Pesto Caesar Salad (Egg-Free)”

King Arthur Gluten Free Bread and Pizza Mix Copycat Recipe (Additive-Free)

Mock box of King Arthur Gluten Free Bread and Pizza Mix

I noticed that Slice Pizzeria, a restaurant in New Orleans, uses King Arthur Gluten Free Bread and Pizza Mix to make their pizza crusts. So, I got to work and created a copycat King Arthur Gluten Free Bread and Pizza Mix recipe. Make this mix at a fraction of the cost of its original, which goes for about $7 per box plus shipping and $27 for a pack of 3 on Amazon. Each box makes one bread or two 12 – 14-inch pizza crusts. Add as little as two ingredients to the mix to make your favorite yeast dough, even dairy-free! Continue reading “King Arthur Gluten Free Bread and Pizza Mix Copycat Recipe (Additive-Free)”

Gluten Free Sourdough Pumpernickel Video

Gluten Free Sourdough Pumpernickel Video
I already created a wonderful Gluten Free Pumpernickel Bread Recipe, but I thought you’d appreciate a Gluten Free Sourdough Pumpernickel Bread as well. True pumpernickel begins with a sourdough. I know that many of you have trouble making sourdough starters. So, instead, I developed a way to create a sourdough flavor over time, without the fuss of feeding the starter and chance for failure. Make it as sour or mild as you desire. You do not need a mixer to make it. It can all be done by hand if you wish.
