Gluten Free Honey Oat Bread Video (Machine or Oven)

Video of Making Gluten Free Oat Bread in a Bread Machine

I was asked to create a gluten free recipe video for an upcoming women’s health summit; however, it was postponed. Here is the first half of the video showing you how I make my Gluten Free Oat Bread Recipe in a Bread Machine (using sugar or honey). I hope this helps you in your gluten free baking. I list the bread machine model on the recipe page. Meanwhile, stay tuned for my gluten free naan video tomorrow.

Note: To make this recipe dairy-free, just omit the non-fat dry milk. You can also substitute the water with rice milk. To make this recipe oat-free, substitute the oat flour with sorghum flour and use 2 additional tablespoons of oil.

After you watch the video…

Grain-Free Gluten-Free Black Bean Brownies (Allergen-Free)

Gluten Free Black Bean Brownies

Bean flours create higher risen baked goods, but many of the flours create a bitter flavor. One way of getting around this is by using cooked beans. I prefer to use refried black beans. They’re so creamy and not bitter at all. The dark color is perfect for chocolate dishes such as this gluten free brownie recipe. It is dairy-free, gum-free, and grain-free, techinically, as buckwheat is a seed, not a grain. Some refer to buckwheat as pseudograin.

Enjoy this healthier style gluten free recipe as part of my January 2015 Healthy Gluten Free Diet Event. Continue reading “Grain-Free Gluten-Free Black Bean Brownies (Allergen-Free)”

Crunchy Homemade Gluten Free Gingerbread Granola

Gluten Free Gingerbread Granola

‘Tis the season for everything eggnog, pumpkin, peppermint and gingerbread. This gluten free granola recipe is no different, as it is gingerbread flavored. Nature’s Path makes one where for everyone sold, they done one to a food shelter. However, unfortunately, it’s not gluten free. Once I saw it, I just had to create my own recipe. I used most of the ingredients they use, accept I used “gluten free” oats, added tons of nuts, some brown flax seed meal (it has more omega’s than golden flax seeds), agave and honey. I didn’t have any crystallized ginger, but omitted the rice starch intentionally. Because it contains evaporated cane juice sugar, it turns out crispier than the Gluten Free Granola Recipe I usually make. However, because it is sweet, I don’t need to add raisins or other dried fruit. Continue reading “Crunchy Homemade Gluten Free Gingerbread Granola”

Soft Gluten Free Buttermilk Dinner Rolls

Soft Gluten Free Buttermilk Dinner Rolls

I developed a soft gluten free dinner rolls recipe made with rice flour quite awhile ago. That recipe can also be made dairy free, if desired. I used buttermilk in that recipe. The recipe below, is more substantial as it has more structure. Though light in weight, it is not as light as the dairy-free version. With the use of buttermilk, they are a creamy goodness that my husband and I couldn’t stop eating at just one this afternoon. Enjoy!

Gluten Free Coleslaw Like KFC’s

Gluten Free Coleslaw - KFC Clone

For years I used to crave KFC’s coleslaw. Now that us gluten free eaters can no longer eat at KFC, I thought you would appreciate my KFC clone dressing. McCormick spices are gluten-free. Be sure to avoid using mayonnaise jars that gluten-eaters may have used if you are gluten intolerant. Double dipping knives in jars can leave cross-contamination. They dip in the mayo jar, spread it on their bread, and then dip in the jar again. Meanwhile, enjoy this gluten free coleslaw recipe. My guests thoroughly enjoyed it on the 4th of July and asked to take the leftover home. Continue reading “Gluten Free Coleslaw Like KFC’s”

Gluten Free Appetizers: Pretzel Rolls with Goat Cheese and Scallions

Gluten Free Pretzel Rolls with Goat Cheese and Scallions

While most people add cream cheese to bagels, it is awesome on these pretzel rolls, too. However, a wonderful substitute for cream cheese is goat cheese. Whether you are making these scrumptious rolls for lunch, meal or just a snack, I’m sure you’ll enjoy them. I like them because these gluten free appetizers are casual enough to serve outdoors, yet elegant enough for a meal of several courses. Gluten Free Pretzel Rolls

Gluten Free Pretzel Rolls

After watching the Katie television show yesterday, I just had to create a recipe for gluten free pretzel rolls. They showed kids lunches and stated that pretzel rolls are popular now. I believe any gluten free kid should have whatever his gluten-eating friends consume. I hope your child, as well as you and the rest of your family and friends enjoy this recipe. My husband will be in heaven this weekend! He loves my gluten free soft pretzels recipe which I used and altered slightly for this recipe. Continue reading “Gluten Free Pretzel Rolls”
