Gluten Free Spinach Pasta Recipe

Image: Homemade Gluten Free Spinach Pasta

This gluten free spinach pasta recipe is adapted from my Gluten Free Egg Noodle Recipe. You may be surprised that spinach pasta does not contain a lot of spinach, but it certainly is healthier to include it than not. Spinach pasta brings color to meal and a bit of savory flavor. You cannot tell it contains spinach when you taste it, especially if you use a flavorful sauce. I tested mine out with my latest Gluten Free Bechamel Sauce mixed with Parmesan cheese. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Continue reading “Gluten Free Spinach Pasta Recipe”

If you’re in the mood for a calzone, making these gluten free biscuits stuffed with a bacon cheeseburger filling. Just add some dough to a muffin tin, add your favorite filling, and cover it with additional dough. It can be that easy. You can use traditional filling or this bacon cheeseburger filling. The best part about this filling is you can add your favorite hamburger condiments and make them to order. My husband loved these gluten free biscuits. His reaction was, “What was that? Those were gooood!” I’m sure kids would love them, as well. After all, many husbands are like kids. (smile) Sorry guys! Continue reading “Bacon Cheeseburger Stuffed Gluten Free Biscuits”

Gluten Free Mocha Bread Pudding

Gluten Free Chocolate Mocha Bread Pudding

While visiting good friends out of state, my closest friend made these delicious mocha gluten free bread puddings. Knowing that I am gluten-free, she asked me to bring my own bread. (I’m allergic to tapioca therefore it’s difficult to buy bread for me.) I brought some homemade oat bread, but Udi’s or any absorbable gluten free bread will work well. I changed the direction to make it a bit easier. They were delicious, full of chocolate and coffee flavor. While Kahula is gluten free, you may make them non-alcoholic. Enjoy! They were fabulous! Fluffy Gluten Free Buttermilk Biscuits

Fluffy Gluten Free Biscuits

These gluten free buttermilk biscuits turned out amazing! Recently I developed a recipe for a substitute for Gluten Free Bisquick. While everyone really enjoys the recipe and has been raving about it, I found it a little too starchy. So, I improved upon the blend while creating this new gluten free buttermilk biscuits recipe. I used cornstarch as a base instead of potato starch and later added some additional potato starch. I was able to enjoy these biscuits without adding butter, straight from the oven. I hope you enjoy them as much we did. Continue reading “Fluffy Gluten Free Buttermilk Biscuits”

Gluten Free Oat Bread (without Tapioca)

Image: Gluten Free Oat Bread without Tapioca

I have several different gluten free oat bread recipes, one for bread machines, one that is dairy free, and another that contains milk. However, because I am allergic to tapioca flour/starch, I created this oat bread recipe just for me, and others who are allergic to tapioca. Oat bread is my favorite gluten-free bread. It is flavorful, has a great texture, and is healthy for us. I hope you enjoy this recipe. Because it contains a little fava bean flour (which is not bitter), it rises high and makes it lighter. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Oat Bread (without Tapioca)”

Gluten Free Financiers (Mini French Tea Cakes)

Image: Gluten Free Financiers

Financiers (pronounced “fee naun seers” in French) are mini French tea cakes characterized by its almond flour. These gluten free financiers are no different other than it calls for “gluten-free” all-purpose flour. I like to use my all-purpose flour blend as it uses superfine rice flour which does not create a gritty texture, yet it rises high and tastes very close to gluten all-purpose flour. This recipe is made up of primarily flour, almond flour, sugar, and egg whites. I’ve suddenly been on an almond flour kick and egg white kick. They are a healthy choice. I hope you enjoy them. This cake is naturally gluten free and is made with almond flour or ground blanched (skinless) almonds. It is extremely versatile as it can be flavored with almond extract, lemon zest, or orange zest. You can even use vanilla extract if that is all you have on hand. You can also add a bit of baking powder to create a lighter cake versus a pound cake texture. No matter how make this gluten free flourless almond cake, it is a delicious treat. Gluten Free Rainbow Cake

The recipe for this gluten free rainbow cake is also dairy-free. Of course, you will need to use a dairy-free frosting or dairy-free whipped cream (which I do not list below). This cake is great for kids’ parties or to brighten up anyone’s day. The cake is a sponge cake which makes the perfect cake to use with whipped cream. This cake makes a great St. Patrick’s Day recipe because, you know…the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Continue reading “Gluten Free Rainbow Cake”

Moist gluten free apple muffins anyone would surely enjoy, even your gluten-eating friends and family members. If you already have a batch of Carla’s Gluten Free All-Purpose Flour Blend Recipe already made up, they are fairly simple to make. This particular recipe should turn out well with any gluten-free all-purpose flour blend. However, my flour blend recipe contains superfine rice flours which are very close to gluten all-purpose flour. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
