Gluten Free Girl Scout Cookies – Trios 2021 – Caramel Chocolate Chip – New Ingredients

I haven’t written about gluten free trios Girl Scout cookies since 2015 when they were first introduced. However, seven years later, they have updated the ingredients. I haven’t written I thought Gluten-free trios Girl Scout cookies since 2015 when they were first introduced. Find the new and old ingredients as well as a recipe to make your own.

Gluten Free Trios Ingredients 2021

The Good News:

Soy and peanuts have been removed from the product entirely. The only allergy warnings on the product are now milk and egg.

Soy lecithin has been removed, which is used as an emulsifier, and replaced with sunflower lecithin.

One part of the trio was peanuts. Instead, they replaced them with caramel made up of sweetened condensed milk and invert sugar (second liquid sugar).

New versus Old ingredients:

Gluten-free trios used to contain: Certified gluten free whole grain oats, semi-sweet chocolate chips (sugar, chocolate liquor, cocoa butter, dextrose soy lecithin), peanut butter (peanuts, salt), butter (sweet cream, salt), pure cane brown sugar, pure cane sugar, eggs, invert sugar, water and baking soda.

Now, Gluten Free Trios Contain: Peanuts, milk, eggs & soy. And now contains: hope flour, brown sugar, semi sweet chocolate chips (sugar, unsweetened chocolate, cocoa butter, Dexter a sunflower lecithin), butter (Cream, salt), eggs, safflower oil, tapioca starch, invert sugar, sweetened condensed milk (milk, xanthan gum, cream of tartar, baking powder (sodium acid pryophosphate, monocalcium phosphate, cornstarch), baking soda.

New Name:

Instead of Trios, the cookie’s new name is Caramel Chocolate Chip:

My Review:

well I really enjoyed them back in 2015, I still love them! Now, they taste more buttery .
