All reviews and giveaways published this month are part of my “Gluten Free Products I Love” giveaway theme. Pasta Prima’s Gluten Free Ravioli, are always on my list of favorites! In September 2011 they sent me several packages to sample, and I fell in love with the Butternut Squash Ravioli. A matter of fact, I was caring for my ill father at the time. I had my sister, who eats mostly gluten food, taste one, and she was oooing and awing over them. They are so amazing, that when I was consulting a well known Italian restaurant I suggested that they offer them as a gluten free option on their menu. Gluten-free Giveaway and Review: Natural Vitality Magnesium Plus Calcium

Q. What is the best gluten free (pure calcium if possible) that you purchase?

A. This is a great question, as those with celiac disease, are often on a dairy-free diet, as well as vegans, possibly creating a deficiency in calcium. Doctors may tell you that you need Vitamin D to absorb calcium, but the truth of the matter is that your body also needs magnesium when you take calcium. When you mix calcium gluconate and magnesium with a high enough acidity level (such as apple cider vinegar) your body will not only absorb it, it will absorb it quickly. Gluten-free Giveaway and Review: Mediterranean Snack Foods Lentil Chips

Mediterranean Snack Food Company Baked Lentil Chips

What can I say in a review about Mediterranean Snack Food Company’s Baked Lentil Chips? – not much, accept they are gluten-free and I am addicted to the Sea Salt Cracked Pepper! Perhaps it’s the spiciness of this chip which causes me to not stop eating them. Not all flavors are spicy, though.  Thank goodness they only sent me one bag of the Cracked Pepper! The scale would tell on me! However, they are baked, not fried, with only 110 calories for 22 chips and the chips are pretty thick, like corn chips! So, enjoy!
