While at the Natural Products Expo West trade show, I stumbled upon a great gluten free find, Sukhi’s gluten free Indian food products. They sent me some of their products and offered to sponsor a giveaway. Their products first became popular in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1992. There was a need for authentic Indian food that was made with quality and natural ingredients. Sukhi Singh, chef and teacher, met those needs with her gourmet, gluten free Indian food products. If you enjoy spicy food, then you’re going to love these Sukhi’s. I always feel good about eating Indian food, as many Indian spices are known for their curative properties. Check out my review, review the list of ingredients, and enter the giveaway, if desired. Good luck all! Continue reading “Sukhi’s Gluten Free Indian Food Review & Giveaway”

Gluten Free Blueberry Pie
Today is National Blueberry Pie Day! What better way to celebrate it than with a gluten free blueberry pie? You will find the link below to my gluten free double pie crust, which is pretty easy to handle compared to most gluten free pie dough. This makes transferring the crusts a breeze, especially in a double pie crust. If you’re pretty new to pie baking, consider cutting out shapes and placing it on top, like in this Gluten Free Cherry Pie. I think I’d use smaller stars next time, though. Meanwhile, I hope you get to enjoy some of this delicious blueberry pie, as it is made with fresh blueberries. If you don’t have the time for fresh, use Comstock or Wilderness brand pie fillings. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Blueberry Pie”
Soft Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
If you looking for soft gluten free chocolate chip cookies, you’ve come to the right place. If you prefer firm cookies check out my previous Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies made with a bit of almond flour. While this recipe is delicious, I favor the almond flavor a bit more. If you have access to superfine rice flour, I highly recommend using it over regular rice flour, as the regular is quite gritty. See the tip section to prevent a bit of this gritty flavor. Meanwhile, enjoy! Continue reading “Soft Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies”

In earlier years I was never a fan of buttercream frosting. However with age we our taste buds change. Actually, I believe we lose some. Since I have experimented with different flavors of frosting, I have come to appreciate them. This mocha frosting is one of my new favorites, especially on a rich chocolate cake.
