Gluten Free Pear Crumble
You can make this gluten free pear crumble recipe much easier by using canned pears. However, fresh pears are full of vitamins and minerals. No matter what flour blend you use, it should out about the same because the recipe calls for very little flour. Note, though, tapioca browns easier, but is chewy, and cornstarch has high crisping qualities, and potato starch with just a little less. I have also provided some holiday garnish suggestions. Crusty Multi-Grain Gluten Free Boule (Egg Free)
This gluten free boule has taken me four attempts to create. It is very tasty, has a hard, crunchy crust, and a wonderful texture. During my previous experiment, I only used 1/2 teaspoon of yeast and allowed the dough to rest for about 18 hours. It gave it a bit of sourdough flavor. You can experiment with this yourself. Meanwhile, enjoy this crusty gluten free boule. It tastes so good just with butter. I can’t wait to use it for spinach dip during the holidays and smaller versions for soups and chili. Gluten Free Mocha Bread Pudding
While visiting good friends out of state, my closest friend made these delicious mocha gluten free bread puddings. Knowing that I am gluten-free, she asked me to bring my own bread. (I’m allergic to tapioca therefore it’s difficult to buy bread for me.) I brought some homemade oat bread, but Udi’s or any absorbable gluten free bread will work well. I changed the direction to make it a bit easier. They were delicious, full of chocolate and coffee flavor. While Kahula is gluten free, you may make them non-alcoholic. Enjoy! They were fabulous! Gourmet Fresh Gluten Free Peach Crisp
This gluten free peach crisp is awesome! It calls for plenty of butter in order to make the topping nice and crispy. If you are wondering what the difference between a cobbler and a crisp is, a cobbler is made with a dough batter, similar to biscuit dough. A crisp is usually made with flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter. A crisp has a crumbly topping. Cobbler got its name because the biscuit dough is usually dropped in pieces, creating a cobblestone affect. Meanwhile, enjoy this gluten free peach crisp. Be creative and add your favorite ingredients – perhaps a bit of fresh ginger to bring on a little heat. Continue reading “Gourmet Fresh Gluten Free Peach Crisp”
Wine and Cheese Gluten Free Cracker Recipe
I am honored to present this gluten free cracker recipe that I developed for WholeVine. They offer grapeskin and grapeseed flour made from wine grape remnants as well as gluten free cookies. A couple of months ago I surveyed my Facebook followers for their favorite wine, and Riesling was the winner. So, I used Riesling grapeseed flour in this gluten free cracker recipe. However, they offer several other varieties, including grapeseed flour. Just be sure not to use grapeseed flour in this recipe as additional liquid ingredient would be required. Meanwhile, cut your favorite cheese, pour a glass of wine, and enjoy! Continue reading “Wine and Cheese Gluten Free Cracker Recipe”
