Many spice blends like garamĀ masala (Indian spice) and allspice, often contain gluten. If you’re not sure about the gluten status of a spice blend, make your own. Garam masala is best when you make it using roasted, whole spices which have been ground, but the easiest and fastest way is to use prepared ground spices. That’s what I use. - 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon ground cloves

- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground fennel
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions:
- Whisk together all of the above spices. Use in your favorite Indian dishes.
- Store in an air-tight glass container
Tips
If you desire to be a top Indian chef, use whole seeds and spices and roast them. Once cool, grind them in a clean coffee grinder.
