Review of Slow Food for Fast Lives Bars

All bars by Slow Foods for Fast Lives are certified by the the Gluten Intolerance Group  of North America (GIG). The guarantee that the gluten content is at or below 10 parts per million (ppm). The Federal Drug Administration (FDA) requires that all products labeled gluten free are below 20 ppm.

Slow Food for Fast Lives bars are Gluten Free, Vegan, and Kosher. They are made of real ingredients and are low on the glycemic scale.

 

INGREDIENTS

California Bar:

Almonds, brown rice syrup, salba chia, tapioca, coconut oil, pomegranate arils, almond butter, broccoli, spinach, quinoa, orange juice concentrate, kale, lemon, glycerine, dry gluten free Tamari, salt, ginger root, cinnamon, honey.

 

Moroccan Bar:

Pistachios, brown rice syrup, currants, tapioca syrup, tahini, lentils, coconut oil, sesame seeds, lemon vegetable glycerine, sea salt, garlic powder, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, cumin.

 

Thai Bar:

Peanuts, brown rice syrup, brown rice crisps (brown rice, brown rice syrup, sea salt), tapioca syrup, peanut butter, red pepper, coconut oil, agave syrup, bell pepper, lime, vegetables glycerine, sea salt, green onions, basil, garlic powder, chili pepper, onion powder.

 

Indian Bar:

Cashews, brown rice syrup, tapioca syrup, cauliflowers, lentils, coconut, coconut oil, potatoes, peas, mangoes, tomatoes powder, vegetable glycerine, sea salt, turmeric, onion, chili pepper, ginger, cumin seed.

  1. Are they sweet? I see brown rice syrup as a main ingredient so I assume they are sweet. How does the sweetness compare with Kind bars? The idea of a savory snack bar is appealing.
