After visiting PF Chang’s China Bistro, I decided to make my own gluten free egg drop soup. I am addicted to it! I love it hot and spicy. You can omit the hot sauce, use freshly chopped or pureed chili peppers, or make a mild version. It’s just as delicious as the one at PF Chang’s. Serve this flavorful, Chinese favorite as a starter before main and vegetable dishes. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Egg Drop Soup”

Creamy Asian Brown Rice Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)
Each year when I go to the Expo West trade show, in Anaheim, I am honored with a package of a Tasty Bite product. This year they repeated my favorite product, Asian Vegetable Rice. I haven’t looked for it yet in my local store, but I was desperately craving some. So, I created this copycat Asian brown rice recipe. Theirs contains white rice, I believe. Therefore, this recipe contains more fiber, can be made sugar-free and dairy-free, and provides you with plenty of substitution choices. Make it spicy or mild. While the ingredients of Tasty Bite Asian Vegetable Rice is slightly different, this recipe is extremely delicious. You can turn it into a casserole by simply adding your favorite protein. I added cooked, cubed chicken breast. Enjoy! Continue reading “Creamy Asian Brown Rice Recipe (Naturally Gluten Free)”

Lemon or Lime Sorbet – Palate Cleansers

This way, you are able to experience the true flavor of the next dish without any aftertaste affecting your taste buds. It is similar to the method that wine tasters use before tasting another variety of wine. In France, palate cleansers are also used to improve digestion and to stimulate the appetite. Classic Gluten Free Minestrone Soup
It may at first appear that would not need a gluten free minestrone soup recipe and that it is naturally gluten free. However, you will need to know which brands of broth are gluten free, as well as gravy enhancers, if using. In addition, when storing leftover soup containing pasta, it tends to get soft and mushy. To prevent this, using my homemade egg noodle recipe avoids this problem. You may also cook the pasta separately. Check out the brands of pasta I enjoy most. Gluten Free Dairy Free Candy Melts Substitute Recipe (Corn-Free Options)
You may find it difficult to find gluten free dairy free candy melts as most contain dairy. In addition, it is hard to find gluten free dairy free white chocolate to coat cake pops or truffles. Wilton’s does make one that is gluten free, but not dairy-free. To learn more about Wilton gluten free products, see discussion here from 2011. However, the recipe below works well as a substitute. If you have corn allergies, consider using Lyle’s Golden Syrup or gluten-free brown rice syrup, such as Lundberg brand instead of corn syrup. They will just turn out a bit darker in color.
