Gluten Free Yule Log

Image: Gluten Free Yule Log

This gluten free yule log recipe, also known as a roulade, is a slight variation of my Flourless Gluten Free Chocolate Roll Cake Roulade Recipe except this one is not coated in chocolate. If you use white frosting as a filling, it is sweet enough on its own. However, you can certainly use whipped cream, if desired. If using whipped cream, be sure to see the tips below to create it with more structure for it to roll nicely. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this recipe. Happy holidays! Gluten Free Raw Pumpkin Cheesecake Recipe

Image: Gluten Free Raw Pumpkin Cheesecake

Douglas McNish makes a mean Raw Vegan Gluten Free Cheesecake. I started with his recipe and by the time I was finished, it developed into this lovely raw pumpkin cheesecake recipe. You will need a high speed blender to make this. There is no getting around it. If you are not fortunate enough to own one, note that there are lower cost alternatives to the VitaMix brand. Meanwhile, raw pumpkin cheesecake is topped with raw caramel sauce, whipped nut cream, and cocoa nibs. I’ve included all of the recipes including how to make raw vanilla extract “liquid”. Enjoy! Gluten Free Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars

Image: Gluten Free Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars

Do you need to feed a crowd where the typical size cheesecake just isn’t enough? This gluten free cheesecake is made in a 13 x 9-inch dish and cuts up into bars quite nicely. Rather than having to make homemade gluten free graham crackers, you make and pre-bake the crust all in one step. Use strawberry jam or make homemade agave jam (recipe linked below). Either way, it’s a special treat, even gluten-eaters enjoy. Continue reading “Gluten Free Strawberry Swirl Cheesecake Bars”

Triple Chocolate Gluten Free Pumpkin Cheesecake & Crust

Image: Gluten Free Pumpkin Cheesecake

This is the best dessert I could possibly think of serving on Thanksgiving out of all of my gluten free dessert recipes. It not only fits in perfectly with the holiday, but it contains tons of chocolate. The filling contains white chocolate, cream cheese, and pumpkin puree. The crust of this gluten free pumpkin cheesecake is is made of chocolate cookies and is covered with a thin layer of pumpkin chocolate ganache. I took a shortcut by using Pamela’s Products mini chocolate cookies for the crust. They really are ideal. This recipe has received rave reviews, even by gluten-eaters. Enjoy the recipe as well as your Thanksgiving. Continue reading “Triple Chocolate Gluten Free Pumpkin Cheesecake & Crust”

Gluten Free Cake Pops for Thanksgiving: Chocolate Acorns

Image: Gluten Free Acorn Cake Pops

It is extremely important to use a moist cake recipe when making gluten free cake pops. They turn out much smoother. You can use these cake pops for Thanksgiving as a decoration or as a dessert. In addition, they would make a lovely hostess gift. There’s nothing like bringing something you can actually eat to a dinner party. Acorns are synonymous with fall so I chose to make them this shape versus balls. I think they turned out adorable. I was very pleased. You can use gluten free candy or chopped nuts for he tops. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Cake Pops for Thanksgiving: Chocolate Acorns”

Gluten Free Checkerboard Cake Recipe

Image: Gluten Free Yellow and Chocolate Checkerboard Cake

My new gluten free yellow butter cake recipe is perfect for this gluten free checkerboard cake. You don’t want to use a thin batter in a checkerboard cake because when you remove the divider ring the batters will run into one another. Yes. You need a special ring for this recipe. I have linked to the Wilton’s Checkerboard Cake Pan Set in the ingredients list. It is so fun to make this cake. Don’t feel intimidated as it is not complicated at all. It turned out very moist and delicious. You may skip the chocolate and add another flavored extract or food coloring to the other half of the batter. You can make it to fit any holiday color scheme. Be creative and enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Checkerboard Cake Recipe”

Gluten Free Yellow Butter Cake

Gluten Free Cake with Dairy Free Whipped Cream

I already have a Gluten Free Yellow Cake Recipe on this site, but it calls for my Self-Rising Gluten Free Cake Flour Blend. Since creating that recipe over two years ago, I find that my Gluten Free All Purpose Flour Blend Recipe works much better in gluten free cake recipes, provided you add a bit more oil or butter compared to gluten cakes. This yellow cake recipe is much richer than a normal yellow cake. It contains tons of butter, is moist, but is not heavy like pound cakes. Use it as a substitute for any gluten free yellow cake. Feel free to decrease the butter to make a more traditional yellow cake. Meanwhile, all of your gluten-eating friends will even enjoy this cake.

Chocolate Marquise Recipe: Flourless and Gluten Free

Image: Chocolate Marquise

This velvety chocolate marquise recipe is a European favorite. This cake is topped with whipped cream and surrounded by a mascarpone caramel sauce. The scrumptious sauce is a combination of caramel sauce and creamy mascarpone cheese. It is another European specialty, decadence at its best. (Be sure to check out the Tip section for substitutions and variations.) Continue reading “Chocolate Marquise Recipe: Flourless and Gluten Free”

Flourless Gluten Free Chocolate Roll Cake – Roulade

Image: Gluten Free Chocolate Roll Cake - Roulade

I love the fact that this gluten free chocolate roll cake bakes so quickly compared to regular cakes. This recipe especially bakes fast because it does not contain flour. Instead, it contains mostly eggs and chocolate. I was so excited to give this a try I even purchased a jelly roll pan just to make this cake. The pan turned out to be perfect size for so many other things (small batch cookies, cinnamon rolls, sheet cakes, and baking rolls, to name a few.) Meanwhile, the cake turns out light, yet has a rich chocolate flavor. You have a choice of fillings and toppings, one of each may be made dairy-free. I hope you enjoy this recipe. It looks like a huge Hostess Ding Dong. Doesn’t it? You can make it taste it like one, too, if you use the fluffy white frosting as a filling. I prefer cream cheese frosting or whipped cream, though.
