Tarte tropézienne, also known as “La Tarte de Saint-Tropez” is a pastry dessert consisting of a brioche filled with pastry cream, bavarian cream, and similar fillings. Traditionally, you refrigerate the dough overnight. With this gluten free tarte tropezienne, you do not refrigerate the dough. It’s fast and easy to make. The photo shown is the gum-free brioche version. Check out the texture in this video of the brioche with gum. It is stunning! Gluten Free BRAT Pancakes
My granddaughter was visiting and the need to be on the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast) arose. So, on short notice, I threw together a few ingredients to make some applesauce pancakes without any starch, just rice flour. Of course, I omitted gums as well. You can also make them with bananas. I just didn’t have any on hand. She loved them! Even my husband I had a shared a few. They are light and delicate, not to mention tasty. Continue reading “Gluten Free BRAT Pancakes”

Gluten Free Artichoke Souffle with Cheese
In an effort to teach an online class on how to make gluten free souffles, I made this gluten free artichoke souffle that I’ve been craving for a few months. It turned out delicious. I suggest topping this souffle with Mornay Sauce or leftover Beef Bourguignon Sauce. They are yummy but the bourguignon sauce is over the top good! Gluten Free Macadamia Nut Cookies (Dairy-Free Options)
Be sure to make a huge batch of these addictive cookies. You will consider these gluten free macadamia nut cookies perfection if you enjoy chewy cookies. They are so flavorful with soft centers and have slightly crisp edges. Their weight is not heavy at all. They are on the light side if anything. I’ve never had a cookie like them! If you’re making them at home, watch them fly out of your cookie jar, if they make it to the jar at all! These cookies are my husband’s new favorite cookie and mine as well. It says a lot about them because his favorite cookie hasn’t ever changed in his entire life, until now! Continue reading “Gluten Free Macadamia Nut Cookies (Dairy-Free Options)”
Gluten Free Sun-Dried Tomato Bread Recipe
I just had to create a gluten free sun-dried tomato bread with some Parmesan cheese. I love creating recipes that contain food to which I’m allergic, tomatoes in this case. I enjoy living vicariously through my husband’s meals. He thoroughly enjoyed this bread. He said that he could taste the Parmesan but didn’t recognize the sun-dried tomatoes. He did, however, note that whatever it was, was a little sweet. So, obviously the sun-dried tomatoes are not overpowering, but add just the right something to this lovely bread. I’m thinking it would make an awesome grilled cheese sandwich. He agreed but had his first piece as soon as I sliced the loaf along with some margarine. Gluten Free Parisian Gnocchi (French-Style)
If you’ve ever been to Paris or anywhere in France, when you order Gnocchi, you do not get the gnocchi that you’re used to getting in Italy. There is quite a difference. Parisian gnocchi is light, fluffy, and more flavorful. If you’re afraid to make homemade gluten free pasta, this is a wonderful alternative. They are pillowy clouds that you can fry to add even more flavor and a slightly crisp texture. Add in herbs, spices, and even cheese, if you like. Serve for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as a side dish or main dish. Continue reading “Gluten Free Parisian Gnocchi (French-Style)”
Gluten Free French Beignets – Light and Airy New Orleans Donuts
This recipe is nothing like Yeast-Based Gluten Free Beignets (the ones that are popular in New Orleans, usually made from biscuit dough). Instead, they are Gluten Free French Beignets, popular in France. This dough creates light and airy pastries that have a marshmallow-like texture inside the shell, similar to churros. I don’t know anyone who would stop at just one. They’re just so light! Continue reading “Gluten Free French Beignets – Light and Airy New Orleans Donuts”
