Gluten Free Philly Cheese Steak Recipe with Pizza Sauce!

Philly cheese steak recipes are usually very similar, but this one has a unique twist! If you like pizza and philly cheese steak you will love this recipe! I added pizza sauce. I couldn’t have any, with my tomato allergies, but my husband loved it, even on a gluten free bread roll. You see, he doesn’t eat gluten free. That means I’ve done good! I hope you enjoy this gluten free philly cheese steak recipe as much as he did! Continue reading “Gluten Free Philly Cheese Steak Recipe with Pizza Sauce!”

Gluten Free Chicken Enchiladas

Image: Gluten Free Enchiladas

This recipe can be made with gluten-free low-sodium tortillas or regular gluten-free tortillas. Regular ones are much higher in sodium than the recipe I provide. I made these enchiladas with two different sauces, one for me and one for my husband. He loves the traditional sauce. Many of you may have a particular favorite already in mind. I offer a simple alternative sauce under the many “Tips” I list below. I used to make enchiladas with plain chicken and load it with cheese for flavor, but have learned to give them flavor without the extra calories and cholesterol. You can do both, though. If you skip the cheese you can make this dairy free and it will still have a lot of flavor! Continue reading “Gluten Free Chicken Enchiladas”

Raw Almond Pistachio Avocado Ice Cream

Image: Avocado Ice Cream

This recipe is dairy free, refined sugar-free and additive-free. I love pistachio ice cream but have had trouble thinking of a way to make it green without using artificial food coloring. I recently learned that avocados may be used as a substitute for eggs. Do you see where this is going? A raw avocado ice cream recipe made with almond milk, but instead of using vanilla extract, as some may have thought, I used almond extract. Just delicious! It also contains agave syrup. Check out my recipe below. Continue reading “Raw Almond Pistachio Avocado Ice Cream”

Gluten Free Onion Rings Recipe II

This gluten free onion rings recipe is sweetened with stevia, salted with sea salt and dairy- free. UPDATE: I now use Gluten Free Chef Rob’s recipe which calls for gluten-free beer. However, you can make it almost just as good using sparkling water. It just has a little less flavor and you have to fry them longer to make them crispy. They’re super crispy! Here’s the link – Tri-Spiced Gluten Free Onion Rings with Dipping Sauce.

Gluten Free Onion Ring Sauce Recipe

Gluten Free Onion Rings Sauce

This onion sauce recipe goes along with my gluten free onion rings recipe, though it has other uses, too. If you are looking for a healthier alternative to Outback’s Onion Ring Sauce, then I think you’ll love this recipe. My husband and I did. Many recipes for onion ring dip contains sour cream and/or mayonnaise. In this recipe I use Greek yogurt and it is made without horseradish, yet it is still spicy. I had to cut back on calories somewhere! I started with the dipping sauce. Continue reading “Gluten Free Onion Ring Sauce Recipe”

Gluten Free Chili Without Tomatoes and Beans

I made this gluten free chili without tomatoes because I have a tomato allergy. I also made this chili without beans and is gluten-free. I miss the sweetness that tomatoes bring to a good chili recipe, but I found a way to sweeten it up this recipe without tomatoes. It can be made as mild or hot as you wish. Just skip the cheese topping and it will be dairy free, too. My husband and I really enjoyed this gluten free chili recipe and hope that you will, too! Hemp Milk Recipe

Hemp Milk

I had purchased some hemp seeds a few months ago when I was watching one of Ani Phyo’s Raw Food Kitchen videos, but since I am already adding hemp protein I feel that I do not need them in my morning protein shake. I also made the mistake by ordering hemp seeds still in their shells and they also were not raw but heated. They are so tiny, I could not possibly shell them myself. I needed a use for them and found it, a hemp milk recipe! I am sure you can make the same recipe with raw hemp seeds, too. Continue reading “Hemp Milk Recipe”

Gluten Free Potatoes and Onion Recipe

Potatoes and Onions

This recipe is so simple, yet so delicious. It was my mother’s recipe. Now it is one of my staple gluten free potato recipes. She’s been gone for some years, but it brings me comfort and makes me smile every time I make this dish. Kids tend to not like them very brown, but by all means brown them up as much as you desire. I usually do, unless my grandkids are over. Continue reading “Gluten Free Potatoes and Onion Recipe”
