Gone are the days of having to get your blender out and make a huge batch of nut milk. Now, it’s much easier! Make this gluten free easy homemade cashew milk in 2 minutes. Use it in cereal, drink plain, flavor with vanilla, sweeten or not, and use to make dairy free ice cream.
Easy Homemade Cashew Milk
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons cashew butter (or almond butter)
- 1/4 teaspoon monk fruit extract powder or your favorite sweetener (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)

Instructions
-
Add all of the ingredients in the order listed above to a tall cup, bowl, or blender. (I use the 2-cup container that my hand-blender came with.) Using a hand blender or countertop blender, puree until smooth. Strain if desired. (I don't.)
-
Refrigerate until cold.
-
Use for baking, drinking, and making ice cream.
Tips
Amazon Prime Pantry used to carry a 16-ounce jar of cashew butter for $8.99. The brand is 365, a Whole Foods brand. At $8.99 a jar, you'll have enough to make 16 portions x 1.5 cups water = 24 cups + 2 cups butter = 6-1/2 quarts plus the cost of any sweeteners or extract. If you buy organic, which is what I used, the same size jar costs $16.79 for Once Again brand on Amazon.
