Everyone raves about my Gluten Free Garlic Cheddar Biscuits. So, I was trying to think what could top those. Bacon, of course! I omitted the garlic flavor in this recipe though you may add it back if desired. The bacon and cheddar cheese alone do these biscuits justice. Enjoy! Gluten Free Sourdough Bread Recipe
Gluten-free sourdough bread is not as sour as traditional sourdough bread. However, a little sour may be all you need. This bread has a soft crust but toasts up nicely. The texture is similar to its gluten counterpart, which is often difficult to achieve in a gluten-free recipe. However, it is a little heartier. To most, its texture is worth the additional weight. Traditional Gluten Free Panettone Recipe
I recently made a large-size Gluten Free Panettone (pronounced pan uh tony) in an angel food cake pan. Panettone is a rich, buttery Italian yeast-cake prepared during the Christmas season. I usually make panettone more like bread than cake as I did in the above recipe link. That version has a crunchy crust, much like homemade bread. However, I figured that many of you would prefer to have a traditional recipe with a soft, buttery texture. Continue reading “Traditional Gluten Free Panettone Recipe”
Gluten Free Panettone Recipe (Italian Christmas Bread)
Panettone is a sweet, light-weight, Italian bread containing dried or glazed fruit. Unlike fruitcake, it is not heavy. It contains butter, making it richer than traditional bread. I didn’t add tons of butter to this recipe though you may if you desire. I like mine to taste a little like bread versus dessert. Soft Gluten Free Garlic Naan – Oven-Baked or Stovetop
Naan is the Indian version of flatbread. There are two versions, crisp/firm and the one I prefer, soft. The soft is to-die-for and is the only version I make! Everyone who has tried my skillet version raves about it. If you have a pizza stone, that version is even better! That’s all I make during the fall and winter. To avoid my kitchen from over-heating, I use the stovetop version during the summer months. Continue reading “Soft Gluten Free Garlic Naan – Oven-Baked or Stovetop”

Gluten Free Bread Bowl Recipe (Boule)
A boule (French for “ball”) comes in different sizes. This petite (French for little) gluten free boule recipe, bakes up high, with a crisp crust, and is doughy inside. Gluten free baking is often more successful in smaller sizes; and this gluten free bread bowl is the perfect example! I’ve been working on perfecting this recipe for years! I am so excited that I finally achieved a gluten-like texture in a bread bowl. Some of the ingredients were inspired by Schar’s gluten free baguettes. Enjoy! Oven Baked Gluten Free Naan Recipe, Beef Stew and Mint Sauce
I have been experimenting with my gluten free naan recipe for my upcoming cookbook. Meanwhile, I already have a recipe for a skillet version on this site. I have added a baked version to the skillet version and explore an additional option in my cookbook, which should be published this fall, Carla’s 125 Best Gluten Free Recipes (including some new recipes, not on this site.) Meanwhile, enjoy this delicious dish! Continue reading “Oven Baked Gluten Free Naan Recipe, Beef Stew and Mint Sauce”
