Gluten Free Pineapple Cherry Upside Down Dump Cake

Gluten Free Upside Down Pineapple Cherry Dump Cake

A surprisingly addictive gluten free dump cake recipe made with canned cherry pie filling and canned pineapple. A dump cake is an easy recipe where you literally dump the ingredients into a baking dish and bake it. Using a cake mix is the usual method. While you can use Betty Crocker’s Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix in this recipe, it is so much better when you use my self-rising gluten free cake flour blend recipe and sugar. I am not a fan of cherry, but combined with pineapple, the flavor is pretty incredible. I couldn’t stop eating it. I felt so guilty afterwards. Oh well, I’ll have to watch what I eat for the next few days. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Pineapple Cherry Upside Down Dump Cake”

Gluten Free Apple Bread Pudding

Gluten Free Apple Creme Brulee Bread Pudding

I developed a bread pudding recipe for KitchenAid’s 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Easy Serve Lid back in 2012. I have played around with the recipe a couple of times since then. I have doubled the custard which I enjoyed much better. My husband is a bread lover and likes it dense with a single custard amount. So, it’s really up to you. Recently, I used the standard amount of custard, but I threw in some Comstock apple pie filling. (You can use homemade, if desired.) This gluten free apple bread pudding turned out delicious and it’s made in a slow cooker! Continue reading “Gluten Free Apple Bread Pudding”

Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts

Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts

I must have lived a shelter life as I never had heard of apple cider donuts until recently. They showed a recipe for Apple Cider Donut Trifle on The Chew TV show. With the flavors of Christmas, I thought I’d give a gluten free apple cider donuts recipe a try. They turned out delicious! They remind me of hot apple cider in the form of a donut. If you haven’t ever tried one, now is your chance.  Continue reading “Gluten Free Apple Cider Donuts”

Gluten Free Dutch Apple Pie

Slice of Gluten Free Dutch Apple Pie

Out of all the gluten free pies I have made, I would have to say this gluten free Dutch apple pie is my favorite. It has a unique crust plus a crumble topping, which both create texture, sweetness, and flavor! It’s the best of both worlds. Apple filling is my favorite of all. I love cinnamon and what goes better with it than apples? Okay, cinnamon bread comes to mind, but that’s only good with tons of butter. Meanwhile, enjoy this recipe! One Layer Gluten Free Chocolate Cake with Almond Coffee Frosting

Gluten Free Chocolate Cake with Almond Coffee Frosting

This is a wonderful size cake to make when you’re only having one or two guests over or have a small family. I like to make small cakes so that I am not tempted to continually eat sweets. The combination of the coffee almond frosting and chocolate cake creates a mocha sensation to rock your world. This gluten free chocolate cake is decadently moist and chocolaty. Gluten Free Tart Crust Using Almond Flour

Gluten Free Almond Tart Crust

If you are watching your carb intake, using almond flour is a great way to cut back in addition to adding flavor. This gluten free tart crust is the perfect compliment to sweet or savory fillings. Avoid starch-filled crusts. Try using almond flour instead. This recipe is also egg- and gum-free. It’s delicious. I use it to make my Gluten Free Apple Almond Custard Tart and my creamy potato, onion and bacon tart.
