I have been wanting to develop a gluten free chicken korma recipe for quite some time, now. It is my favorite Indian dish next to butter chicken. Chicken korma is a spicy Indian dish using turmeric or curry plus other spices. Along with cream, it creates a rich, flavorful dish. You can adjust the heat in this gluten free chicken korma by reducing the cayenne pepper, ginger, and coriander, if necessary. It is of medium heat for an Indian dish, though if not accustomed to Indian food, you may think it is hot. Indian food contains many anti-inflammatory spices, making it a smart choice for an entree. Gluten-Free Egg-Free Egg Wash Substitute (Dairy-Free Options)
Many of my readers are egg intolerant or has someone in their household that has an allergy to eggs. Several readers have asked me for an egg free egg wash substitute. There is a solution for both sealing and coating the tops of pastry. Continue reading “Gluten-Free Egg-Free Egg Wash Substitute (Dairy-Free Options)”
Southern-Style Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy (with Dairy-Free and Vegan Options)
Every time I hit a milestone on how many Facebook followers I have, I ask my fans what gluten free recipe they would like me to create. Gluten free biscuits and gravy was one of the recipes requested. I asked the gentleman if you wanted white or brown gravy. He desired the white, southern-style gravy. I went one step further, and made a true southern gluten free biscuit and gravy recipe by adding sausage to the gravy. This is optional, or you can even use the vegan substitute I list below. I hope my southern readers, as well as others, appreciate this delicious recipe. Continue reading “Southern-Style Gluten Free Biscuits and Gravy (with Dairy-Free and Vegan Options)”
Gluten Free Peach Pie
After receiving several requests for a gluten free peach pie recipe, I developed this recipe. My favorite way to serve is cold after firming it up in the refrigerator for a few minutes. This prevents the juice from running out. But sometimes you just can’t wait! I did this! I actually enjoyed it both ways, but it makes for a nicer presentation once firm. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this recipe. I used my new flaky gluten free pie crust recipe. For those who do not use my gluten free all-purpose flour recipe blend, you’ll be happy to know that superfine rice flour is not needed for the crust. Enjoy! Continue reading “Gluten Free Peach Pie”
Flaky Gluten Free Pie Crust Recipe (Pâté Brisée)
Many of my Facebook followers have requested that I develop a gluten free pie crust recipe that does not call for superfine rice flour. This one turned out flakier than any other pie crust on this site. I have used it to make mini gluten free chicken pot pies, regular size, as well as a gluten free peach pie. They all turned out delicious. You will find that refrigerating the dough once rolled makes transferring the rolled out dough to the pie much easier. I have included that tip as well as another for ease in transferring the dough. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this recipe for many of your savory and sweet gluten free pies. You can create all sorts of fun things with this recipe: use different fruit, add fruit to the jello, tilt the glass while it’s chilling to create angled jello layers, and add vodka. I hope you all have a fun and safe 4th of July! Continue reading “Fourth of July Jello Dessert (Gluten Free)”

Gluten Free Cauliflower au Gratin
Cauliflower au gratin is a great way to get that same rich, cheesy texture with a vegetable instead of potatoes. It reduces some of the carbs, as well. Though the calories in this dish are pretty high as it uses tons of cheese and cream. However, it makes a great dish for guests. Everything in moderation, right? This dish is a bit more saucier than au gratin potatoes as it does not take cauliflower as long to bake as potatoes. However extra sauce is not a bad thing at all. I’m hoping you will enjoy this cauliflower au gratin dish just as much potatoes. It’s so much easier because you don’t have to peel potatoes! Continue reading “Gluten Free Cauliflower au Gratin”
