Easy Veggie Gluten Free Appetizer

This is such an easy gluten free appetizer; and it looks so festive and colorful. You can omit the yellow bell pepper and carrots if you desire to make it all red, white, and green for the holidays. Substitute with green bell pepper.

Note: If you have digestive issues, omit the raw potatoes as they are hard to digest.

Easy Veggie Gluten Free Appetizer

Vegetables are naturally gluten free, but the dip may not be. Use this easy to make gluten free appetizer and impress your guest with little effort.

Ingredients:

  • 1 carrot, peeled
  • 1 zucchini, end trimmed
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, ends trimmed and seeded
  • 1 red bell pepper, ends trimmed and seeded
  • 1 turnip, peeled
  • 1 potato, peeled
  • Gluten free salad dressing of choice (Ranch, Blue Cheese) (See Gluten Free Products List for GF brands)

Instructions:

  1. Thinly slice all of the vegetables double the width of wooden matchsticks. Be sure that they will poke out of shot glasses at least 1 inch.
  2. Pour a little gluten free salad dressing or Onion Dip in the bottom of several shot glasses. Add the slices of vegetables and transfer to a serving platter. Set out on buffet-style table and allow guests to help themselves.
