One of my favorite recipes is tiramisu. These gluten free tiramisu parfaits combines some of my favorite fillings: vanilla pudding, cream cheese, and whipped cream with one of my favorite cakes, sponge cake. (The sponge cake is the same recipe I use in my Gluten Free Tiramisu Cake Recipe.) The espresso, or strong coffee, along with chocolate create traditional tirmasu flavor. Sabayon is French for a light, whipped custard containing sweet wine or champagne. In Italian it is called zabaione. You can become extremely creative with this dessert. I added some caramelized fruit and topped it creme brulee style. You can use fresh fruit, but when not in season, canned peaches will do or a little pie filling. Below, I have shared the recipe as well as the different sweet sparkling wines you can use in this naturally gluten free sabayon creme brulee. Tartiflette is a French recipe made of potatoes, bacon and cream similar to au gratin potatoes, which originally did not contain cheese. Tartiflette contains lardon (cubed pork fat), but in the states, it may be easiest to use bacon. That’s why I use. Meanwhile, it is not a dish we can afford to consume on a regular basis, health-wise, but for special occasions or a treat, it is perfect, and so worth the effort. Simply using gluten free marshmallows and confectioners’ sugar, you can make homemade gluten free fondant. Add a little water and food coloring and you’re all set to decorate. If you’ve been wondering about the difference between golden and red quinoa, there is none, other than the color. In this red quinoa salad, I chose the red variety just to add more color. Gluten Free Carrot Cake Recipe

I really needed a smaller size carrot cake, as my famous Gluten Free Carrot Cake Recipe is a bit too much for us lately. Using a 9-inch round pan versus an 8-inch makes for a lower cake, which fools us psychologically into thinking we’re still having a large piece. The main thing I changed in this new gluten free carrot cake recipe is making a smaller batter and making it moister and spicier. There was a bit too many crumbs on the recipe in the above link. This time, it’s perfect. A matter of fact, it is so good, you don’t even need frosting. It’s plenty of sweet and extremely moist. I used lots of ground cloves which I really enjoy and I think you will, as well. It tastes closer to pumpkin bread. If pumpkin spices are not your cup of tea, omit the cloves. Enjoy!
