Being allergic to pumpkin, I reach for carrots or butternut squash during the fall. This carrot cake is decorated with meringue ghosts to celebrate Halloween. I used my raved about gluten free carrot cake recipe with cream cheese frosting, but I did not frost the sides. Enjoy and happy upcoming Halloween to you! Dough Buddies Gluten Free Donut Mix and Maker Giveaway
As part of my 12 Days of Gluten Free Giveaways, I would like to share with you one of my favorite gluten free products, Dough Buddies Gluten Free Donut Mix. I enjoy them as donut holes, deep-fried at a little higher temperature and for a bit longer than suggested. In addition, I used a spring-action scooper versus a spoon. Rolled in cinnamon sugar, they are simply addicting! However, you can also make them in an electric donut maker. A matter of fact, Dough Buddies will make that a reality for one lucky winner to make them this way. Because I have never introduced this product before, I detail a little more information than others in this series. Meanwhile check out the below giveaway. Good luck! THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED. Gluten Free Paleo Peach Crumble
Sometimes there is confusion between crumbles, crisps and cobblers. They all contain a fruit filling topped with various ingredients. A crumble and a crisp have a crunchy topping. A crisp contains oats, where a crumble does not. A cobbler is topped with dough, much like biscuit dough. If you’re not paleo, you can add some certified gluten free oats and you’ll have yourself a gluten free peach crisp. Enjoy this gluten free paleo peach crumble! Gluten Free Zucchini Cakes
After a Facebook fan tried my Zucchini Hash Browns Recipe, she asked for a recipe that would hold the zucchini together. This is a wonderful solution; however, the two recipes are quite different. These gluten free zucchini cakes contain flour, specifically, my homemade gluten free bisquick (baking mix) recipe. They are lightly sweetened, yet savory, and fluffy, yet moist. Enjoy! Gluten Free Parmesan Poppers
In an attempt to create gluten free popovers, my third batch turned out like dinner rolls instead, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. So, I altered the recipe a little more to remove the creaminess to create these delicious poppers. They are yeast and leaven-free as the eggs alone act as a leavener. I hope you enjoy them. Gluten Free Grilled or Deep Fried PB&J
While watching Rachael Ray last week, I heard that Tavern On Third, a sports bar in New York, serves a deep fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It’s one of the specials during sports games. However, it’s not gluten free. They did not share their recipe, but I got right on it and created a gluten free version for you.
