Easy Gluten Free Creamy Vodka Sauce

Learn the secret to making thick and creamy gluten free vodka cream sauce. Serve on your favorite gluten free pasta or use as dip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup gluten free marinara sauce (homemade or jarred) or GF bologneseĀ sauce homemade or jarred)
  • 1/4 cupĀ gluten free vodka (see list here)
  • 1/4 cup tablespoon heavy cream (for dairy-free, use full-fat coconut milk)
  • 2 teaspoons brown or white rice flour, or as needed
  • 2 tablespoons water, to thin, or as desired
  • 5 - 10 fresh basil (or spinach leaves)
  • Gluten free pasta, ravioli, or gnocchi

Instructions:

  1. Add marinara sauce and wine to a saucepan and bring to boil. Lower heat and cook at a low boil for at least 5 minutes to cook off some of the alcohol.
  2. Stir cream into sauce and sprinkle top with rice flour and increase heat to medium-high. Whisk together until no clumps remain and sauce thickens. If needed, add water until it reaches your desired consistency. Remove from heat.
  3. Combine sauce with cooked pasta. Add fresh greens and toss. Serve immediately.

Tips

Adjust the amount of cream to your liking. Add more for richer sauce. Add more marinara sauce if you want it more flavorful, but with less cream.
