Gluten Free Overnight Oatmeal in a Jar

An easy overnight oatmeal in a jar recipe - Make before bedtime and wake up to a healthy gluten free breakfast.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Layer the above items in a mason jar. Refrigerate overnight in mason jar. (No mason jar? Clean out an empty jar of jam and use it instead.)
  2. In the morning, top with additional fruit and seeds or nuts, if desired. Other optional add-ins include gluten free preserves or jam, cinnamon, honey, grated chocolate, or gluten free cocoa powder.

  1. Do you cook the oatmeal before putting it in the jar?

    How do you eat it? Pour milk over it like Oatmeal Cereal? Just raw?

    1. Nancy,

      The oatmeal absorbs the liquids and softens on its own. There is no need to add milk but you can if you don’t care for thick oatmeal. You’ll get the hang of it one you make it.

    1. My kids are the same way. For a while we were using coconut yogurt but then we say they were adding natural flavors. So I just found ways to make our own. Haven’t tried it yet but looking forward to!!
